Re: Swift's new role

He plays in the same position as Phil Foden and Joe Willock, so safe to say you’re right. Joe Willock is some player. Which one of the Willocks did we have in our academy? We had a Matty Willock on trial with us if that's what you mean? Really don't see it with Joe Willock, I don't know what he's s...

Re: Swift's new role

Not sure if said in jest but I genuinely think this is true. Damn magnetic feet. He should be involved with the u21s but never seems to be called up so I presume England must be terrifically well off for players in his role. He plays in the same position as Phil Foden and Joe Willock, so safe to sa...

Re: Swift's new role

Havent seen a heat map but Swift seems to both spend a lot of time on the left and play better when on the left hand side. Not sure for Ejaria. Rinomhota seems to play fairly centrally but his charging runs are almost always on the right. Yeah that’s generally how I see it with Ejaria also drifting...

Re: Swift's new role

I thought the midfield looked something like ————Rino—— ——Ejaria——-Swift Rather than ———Rino———Swift ——————Ejaria————- Hence Swift and Ejaria are equally responsible for creating/scoring I think Swift’s always looked better dropping back and picking the ball up. Problem is, in a 4-2-3-1, he wasn’t ...

Re: BFTG - Luton

Coming off the bench really doesn’t seem to suit Meite tbh. As said many times, he needs a run in the side I think I’d rather Joao over him on the bench most of the time I'm half with you there. Part of me thinks Meite has everything needed to be good off the bench. Hes fast, strong and desperate t...

Re: The idiots of Twitter thread

The lads on twitter are really being pathetic about the McCleary situation. A consummate professional who has endured a real challenge in a difficult part of his career has just scored for us rounding of a great win and they are having a go at him. The mind boggles. It’s basically just that cretin ...

Re: BFTG - Luton

He could of course have fielded any number of teams. The fact that we’re even having this discussion is actually testament to Bowen’s ability. After only 3 games in charge he has done what those before him failed to do in months and give us a team that speaks for itself, that even fans like us can ...

Re: BFTG - Luton

I have no problem with the view there's a clear first choice side. But to say Bowen's had no choice and only had one viable side is stupendous exaggeration. Especially in a wider context than just the Luton match. We have a big squad and there's loads of possible combinations. I get it but if you r...

Re: BFTG - Luton

:?: Blackett vs Richards vs Obita Blackett and McIntyre vs Moore, Morrison and Miazga Pele vs Rinomhota and Ejaria Meite vs Puscas Plus McCleary, Gunter, Loader, Olise, Barrett... 3-5-2 vs 5-4-1 vs 4-4-2 vs 4-3-3 I respectfully disagree that that list quantified tough decisions. On the formation, a...

Re: BFTG - Luton

Not to be a downer but he hasn't had much choice about the starting XI has he? Hard to praise a man for picking the only viable team. I'm not criticising him btw. :?: Blackett vs Richards vs Obita Blackett and McIntyre vs Moore, Morrison and Miazga Pele vs Rinomhota and Ejaria Meite vs Puscas Plus ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Sean Evers

If by 4 you mean 2 and maybe others then yeah. McIntyre, Blackett, Yiadom and Odimayo? There's nothing certain about the second 2. Yiadom is a possible but it's weighing up who is better at RB / RWB. Odimayo has been nowhere near the first team so can't be more than maybe. Meh. I reckon on this pur...

Snowflake Royal :| oxf*rd hell, he's not that bad.

Bit of poetic license to hammer the point home. 4 of those are certainly ahead of him at the CB position.

If by 4 you mean 2 and maybe others then yeah.

McIntyre, Blackett, Yiadom and Odimayo?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Sean Evers

We'd need at least 3 CBs out. We're more likely to go 2 CBs or play him or Howe or Rino RWB with Yiadom at CB than Gunts imo. If we genuinely got stuck with Moore, Miazga and Morrison injured or suspended I would assume any number of McIntyre, Blackett, Yiadom, Pele, Odimayo, Rinomhota, Richard's, ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Sean Evers

NO! Not having it. No, no, no, no, no, no. Not this oxf*rd time no. No, no, no, no. He has no aerial ability to speak of and is positionally poor. His biggest weakness the entire time he has been here has been his closing down. oxf*rd me. I would rather play him in goal. We'd need at least 3 CBs ou...
