Re: Squad for 2020/21

Because as I hear it Osho is out contract and there was not a contract on the table for him as a centre back. That may have changed but playing him there would be like experimenting with McCleary at rightback. Much more relevant to play McIntyre and Morrison who may well be our regular pairing than...

Re: Rival Watch

He is utterly amazing, a master of his craft. It would be an honour for us to play against his Wycombe team next season. No more than when we played them this season. That's a cup game where both sides played 2nd string teams. Playing against eachother in the Chsmpionship would be quite something. ...

Re: Rival Watch

Old Man Andrews If Wycombe win the playoffs will it be the greatest managerial achievement in football history by Gareth Ainsworth?

It will definitely be

Gareth Ainsworth has done nothing better as a manager.

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Howe wanted out though right? Can we stop pretending he would have been fine as number 2? Or even ready?? I certainly heard that there was a bit more to the move than we just decided he wasn’t good enough. My source isn’t good enough to say more, and there was nothing untoward involved. The impress...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

AGree with Snowflake that if you play youngsters you have to do it sensibly. It’s not fair on them to put a team out that is disjointed, not played together much or has players out of position. Playing Osho and McIntyre together in the centre just makes no sense. There is nothing to learn. Stuff ha...

Re: Reading FC 2018/19 accounts

I read somewhere this week the owners have done a new share issue of 60m shares; no idea what the par value of the shares is though, assume it's to generate capital, is it allowed under FFP? Is it not to remove debt ? If they convert money that is owed to them into shares it effectively disappears ...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

What name has our goalkeeper used his entire career? It is called respect. No it’s not. It’s called you being adick. He’s been Rafael since he was born. Do you object to Rino not being called By his proper name ? Have you written to Pele to tell him to sort his names out as he has Gomes on his shir...

When he can't get the name of our goalkeeper correct then the rest of the post becomes null and void. Clueless. He has got the keeper’s name correct though. Horse Dead Flogging mean anything to you ? Re: Squad for 2020/21

You would imagine (hope) that once we are mathematically safe then Bowen would start to plan ahead by dropping any loan, out of contract or earmarked for sale players who won't be at the club next season. This might include adding youth players to the matchday squad if he thinks they show promise o...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Run out of material and had to go back to that already OMA? Tsk tsk tsk. Especially given how much material there is in your team selection ! Why play a right back at centre back instead of a centre back who everyone agrees is the future ? Drop McIntyre after a couple of games rather than doing (as...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

I know. And I didn't say we should give everyone 20 games. I said if we can give Loader 20 odd, we can give others more (than Nova or Stacey got for example). Nova got loads of first team games, 2 full seasons in Holland. Stacey was offered new deal and opted not to take it, at that point he wasn’t...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Him going in no way proves he wasn't up to it given the success others we've let go have experienced. Who have been our brightest new players the last few years. It's Rino and Olise. And now McIntyre too. If we can afford to give Loader 20 odd mediocre games we can give plenty of others more chance...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Novakovich is on 3 goals and 7 assists over in Italy. Not great on the goals front, but the assist are good. Still think we should have used him. Looked more of a prospect than Loader in pre-season. Do you think? I thought he looked completely out of his depth in pre-season and, he got a brief run ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h) sponsored by Craig Maskell

THis Talk of not throwing players in at the deep end or them not ‘being ready’ is ridiculous. McIntyre is not 17. He’s 21. He is more than old enough, big enough, good enough. Since he made his debut he has looked at home. Just stick him in the team and let him play ! Rino and Olise pretty much took...
