Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Banks is 23 and not a striker, he plays primarily as a winger (previously with Dundee United and then Palace) which would seem to be rather supported by his cr@p (for a striker) scoring rate of something like 1 in every 12 games. Oladapo is 4 years older and previously with West Ham and Bolton, pla...

Re: The Non - League thread

I believe the Farnham owner has just sold his business for millions so Kayne want on the "Wouldn't it be nice if you had the same initiative as us and give season tickets away to anyone who brings donations down for their local food bank" Then after outlining what he had planned for Botto...

Re: Womens euros 2025

Absolutely not dissing women's football, but one of the biggest differences I've noticed is that women don't seem to be able to clear the ball as effectively and as far as the men do. So that when a team is under pressure and wins possession they often fail to reach the half-way line, and freqently...

Re: Club World Cup revamp

Fantastic performance by Chelsea, didn't give PSG a sniff. Cole Palmer was superb and Joao Pedro already looking like a really good signing. Think they'll be challenging for the title this season. I suspect the after-effects of this tournament will scupper that, but we'll see. Doubt it, given they ...

Re: Bearwood Open Day

We met Peter Scott in the car park on the way to the bus Predicts a break-out season for Sackey and said that Academy player Bowdery was a good prospect. Also very positive about Michael Stickland Heard nothing but rave reviews that Bowdery could be rather good! Hoping Stickland becomes more a Bind...

Re: Ex Royals

Lovely two page spread dedicated to Alf in the NL Paper today. His Reading days feature quite heavily and with Alf only having positive things to say. Should hope so too! Reading was the peak of his career, played more games for Reading than any other club and starred in that PL season (it’s “Le Fo...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

According to Twitter people at Bearwood earlier, we're waiting for international clearance from a player currently playing in the Bundesliga. Brogue mentioned this last week. People speculating that it could be Scott Banks or Oladapo Afolayan, both at St Pauli. I'm sure there's a St Pauli fan on HN...

Re: Bearwood Open Day

Delboy Brilliant day very well organised, plenty of staff, premier league facility. Plenty of chance to chat to manager and players . Great initiative by the new owners.

It’s the sort of thing that could be a money spinner, a couple of Sunday open days each season for fans, charging a few quid a ticket.

Re: Pre Season games 2025/6

Utterly dreadful coverage on Berks, you’d think they’d have a reporter at the game

0-0 is the very latest, should imagine it’s just finishing.
