Re: The non snowball stat thread

Got me thinking, we must have played some of them in the 4th tier too. How long would that list be? Four clubs by the looks of it: Portsmouth; Swansea; Watford; Wigan. In addition, we played Portsmouth; Swansea and Watford in the Southern League before joining the league. Swansea and Watford are th...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Found this on the Arsenal website: https://www.arsenal.com/news/how-premier-league-2-play-offs-will-work Appears the draw is pre-determined for the next rounds. We'll be playing at home against the winner of Fulham and Nottingham Forest in the quarter-final - I'd guess this would also be played at ...

Re: Ex Players

Loafer Aluko getting the last laugh with Ipswich

Aluko + a manager/coach who knows what he's doing rather than Aluko + a chain of complete failures without a clue between them.

Re: The Non - League thread

Will be at Brackley tomorrow Pretty much a sellout And I think the player sent off at the end of the semi final has been cleared to play after an appeal. Nothing official about a sending off or an appeal. Very odd. Fingers crossed they can break the play off hoodoo The hoodoo continues - Boston won...

Re: Weekend Football

Looking like it may be a fairly disappointing final day in the Prem. Can’t see Luton or Burnley catching Forest now, CL places look sewn up too Imagine the title race will go to the last day but you just can’t see Spurs mustering too much of an effort to help Arsenal out and would be surprised to s...

Re: Weekend Football

Wonder how much belly aching there will be from the Brum support. Can't possibly be their fault for being cr@p and having owners that made another cr@p managerial c0ck up could it?

Re: Who do we want to play next season?

Can’t believe it’s 30 years since they were in the third tier. They have been fighting relegation for so long, I actually regard the third as their natural home. Birmingham have only had 2 previous spells in the third tier, at the end of the 80s and into the mid 1990s. They were last relegated to w...

Re: The non snowball stat thread

Wolves are the only team in England with a complete set of domestic honours: Div 1-4 champions, FA Cup winners, League Cup winners, Football League Trophy winners. You say a full set, but have they won the Isthmian League? [Joking aside, they don't have a Simod Cup in there.] One in the eye for tho...

Royals and Racers 2-0 74 mins Akande

What's the opinion on Akande, he seems to be one player that never gets anywhere near the first team yet the club could do with options in that area.

Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

Harsh introducing to English football for Birmingham City's owners, but that Eustace decision was utterly moronic. Will be interesting to see if they learn or if it's another hopelessly incompetent owner with money to burn. They've been promising to deliver relegation for 5/6 years and now they've ...

Re: Ups & Downs 23/24

The Old Firm don't play each other in the league any more times than they used to before the split was introduced. It does mean that pretty much every game from now on matters, whether it's for the title, European qualification or relegation so I'd say it's a decent enough innovation in what is oth...

Re: VAR

It's ludicrous. This is meant to be a tool to resolve contentious moments and areas of "unsurety". I don't know what PGMOL has been telling its officials but to me it seems they're being told to not referee or make decisions or if they're not told that they seem to let VAR decide everythin...

I'd imagine so: https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/24159702.southampton-post-87m-loss-2022-23-financial-accounts/ Yikes Maybe not so bad: The report details that, since June 30, 2023, the group has entered into sale and purchase agreements for players with net transactions amounting to £111million r...

Royals and Racers SB group owners of Sandhurst and Bracknell have issued a statement confirming that agreement has been reached for new owners taking over.

Is there any more on this as yet, is it known who the new owners will be?

Re: Berks and Bucks Senior cup 2023/24

Don’t think the change has anything to do with PL 2 play-offs. Firstly the Senior cup is a midweek competition and the final was always going to be midweek. The PL 2 play-off matches can be played on a Friday or Saturday which leaves Tuesday 14th as a date the final could have been played. I do kno...
