Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I’m comfortable that we have the core of a good squad, but I’m also aware it would only take injuries to two or three key players (Wing, Smith, Knibbs) to leave us struggling. Given the business we did last season, despite the turmoil, hopefully we can pick up a handful of players that could streng...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Looking increasingly likely that Kieron McKenna will jump ship from Ipswich having got them to the PL - Brighton seemingly the most likely destination. Would make absolute sense for his career but would make Ipswich's task in staying up much much harder. Ipswich are rumoured to be going in for Rob ...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

RG30 Tony Mowbray resigns as Birmingham manager which is no major surprise.

Presume Rowett will step in seeing as he was managing in the last few games. Unless Zola is available :?

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

On what basis do you make the jump that an announcement is 2 months away ? Takeovers generally take a long time. I can see Dai hindering the process. All matters Reading rarely go smoothly. Our takeover has been ongoing since about September. Negotiations with Chiron since about February. It's almo...

Re: Rival Watch

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Manchester City get relegated down to L1 or even L2, and have all of their trophies stripped of them as part of the punishment when the Premier League FINALLY get around to having a look at those 115 charges........... It would greatly surprise me if there is...

Re: FA Cup Final (Poll)

Of the two clubs I prolly prefer United, especially the current comedy version. But apparently who wins has an effect on who gets into Europe/ which consolation Thursday competition Chelsea, Newcastle (?) etc qualify for, so I would need to see that first. After the Champion League places the quali...

So, what are your guesses for the final England Euros squad? My 26 man squad suggestion: Keepers ⋅ Pickford ⋅ Henderson, D ⋅ Ramsdale Defenders ⋅ Maguire ⋅ Stones ⋅ Walker ⋅ Trippier ⋅ Konsa ⋅ Guehi ⋅ ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

South Coast Royal I suppose the fact that one of the Chiron blokes was previously involved with Charlton should speed up the process for good or bad .

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

JedMaxwell City might get found guilty on one of their charges, then fined about £50 and that'll be the end of it as far as the authorities are concerned.

Surely not :?

Re: VAR

All of these suggestions are all well and good but it completely ignores the biggest "cuplrit" that caused the need for VAR in the first place, and that is something that is very unlikely to go away. TV replays. Contrary to opinions often stated here and everywhere you can think of, the s...

Re: Weekend Football

Palace are on an absolute mad run They could be a dark horse next season if they keep their team together. Eze, Olise, Mateta, Guehi, Wharton. These are quality players. Eze and Olise allegedly both have release clauses in their current deals so they may well be off over the summer, particularly if...

Re: VAR

Yep, but the thing about short-pulling/holding etc and dissent is the realisation that these things are so endemic that if a ref was consistent and penalised every instance, the match wouldn't finish. And all the publicity and all the managers' and pundits' comments would be vilifying that referee....

Talent wise he was good enough for the Championship. There was obviously some sort of attitude or mental health issues earlier in his career. Fair play, he looks to be moving beyond them and he has absolutely dominated the play offs. Difference maker in semi final and final. I think it was the phys...

Re: Rival Watch

Not that it’s the right place to put this but I find watching Premiership football so dull these days. I am watching Man City play West Ham, but I much preferred watching Crewe play Crawley earlier. I am probably alone here but City’s success has just made it all so oxf*rd boring. Not to mention th...
