Re: Northampton (A)

We've sold around 530 tickets so far. I expect that to increase a bit the closer we get to the game (perhaps 1,000+; as with Cambridge). Where do you get your info from Clyde 1998, just out of interest? That's a good question. The short answer is the seat map on the club's ticketing website. The lo...

Re: transfer deadline day thread

Considering our current plight and being a basket case of a club lol :D that was a pretty impressive transfer window by all accounts!! Bowen, Selles & Co have put together a team full of young hungry players who are happy and able to try and play an attractive brand of fast flowing football, plu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

I'm still a little unsure about the 4-2-2-2 formation employed today, however, maybe we're using this formation due to Smith being out injured. I think we lost the battle in midfield in the first half and when Ben Elliot came on we looked much better and i really would look at getting him starting m...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

Whenever a team is just not in the game despite the opposition being nothing it has to come down to the manage. Selles got today wrong. I mean, this is what I'm expecting from a manager with no relevant experience, but I do obvs hope he proves me wrong. OK for all us divs who weren't actually at th...

Re: BFTG Stevenage

I'm just loving the general direction of travel of the club. It seems like almost for decades now we've been recruiting established pro's for biggish fees on largish wages, who have flaws in their game, or are injury-prone, and someone at the club has at last clicked on that this approach has not w...

Re: BFTG - Cheltenham

This is a project in the making and today and the Millwall game we've just seen a glimpse of Reading FC slowly moving in the right direction. These youngsters are fearless, however, they will make mistakes along the road. Bowen really has worked wonders with the recruitment so far with young hungry ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cheltenham Town (h)

Brilliant first half!! The new Reading Way!! loving the effort and intensity....Wifi has been great up top and Abbey at the back was something else, the way he muscled their defender off the ball was like watching Sonko in his prime. Let's not get too carried away, Cheltenham are really not that go...

Re: Summer 2023 Transfer Speculation

I'm really hoping he gets fit quickly. The report was 6 weeks out, so 5 weeks remaining is probably 5-7 games and i really cannot see Carroll and WiFi scoring enough to catapult us up the table. Hopefully another forward is inbound soonish otherwise we may be playing catch up even to get to mid table.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cheltenham Town (h)

Interested to see the attendance this evening, nearly 14,000 against Peterbrough was pretty decent in my view. We're now on two straight losses (League) and an evening game against one of the smaller clubs in the league. Anything over 11,000 would be a decent turnout given the circus that is "R...

First away game in our new "Grey" away shirt!! maybe it's a lucky omen!! not that we needed the luck in any way tonight by the sounds of it.
Shame Port Vale play in white home shirts for Saturday!! Guessing it'll have to be the lucky "Purple Turtle" kit instead :D :D

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a)

Why 2 keepers on the bench? Don’t think I’ve ever seen that before, how bizarre. Is andresson better at pens perhaps? Either way seems super odd. I have a feeling CBC will play the first half with Andresson swoping at the half for game time!! Bouzanis is there to cover a possible injury after half ...

Re: The Caylan Vickers thread

A bit early to pin him as the future of the club. Certainly don't want to be over hyping the young lad and placing any extra weight on his shoulders. Saying that, tonight we have a chance to watching him hopefully for 90mins against a decent Millwall team. I hope he has a good game and one day goes ...

Sutekh Reading played New Zealand in 1984. Martin Peters and George Best both played for the mighty Reading.

What a prospect Caylan Vickers is. Only 18 and straight from the U 18’s into the 1st team squad. ( only 6 appearances for the U 21’s) We have a real talent there. The most impressive thing for me is that he really could of just gone into his shell or even just played things super safe!! yet here he...

Re: BFTG Peterborough

Enjoyed that. Good first half, weak 2nd, a break and excellent header the difference. If we'd taken a chance would have been different. Bouzanis - didn’t look like he had a chance on the goal, one great save and some iffy distribution. Ok Yiadom - typical Andy, energy, crunch and effort. Good. NGW ...

loyalroyal4life In time for tomorrow?

He's been training with us for some time apparently so hopefully he's been signed and registered as per Wing/Savage. He should be fit but not up to speed for a full game. A good option for the bench if registered!!
