Re: January Transfer Window

Would clubs not just wait 6 months until his contract runs out and pick him up on a free (or discounted price as I am not sure how the tribunal system works). The advantage of getting in first I guess - if a club offer to buy, and Reading are happy with the price, then they just need to agree terms...

Re: Next Five Games

its probably as good a schedule as its ever going to be now. Anything else makes the international game even weaker Doesn't stop it still be frustrating and annoying every time one comes around though.... Suppose the problem is that no one much is ever particularly interested in the qualifiers, but...

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

Speculation based on what though, is there a precedent for this? Just seems incredibly unlikely to me - the train companies would be foregoing revenue. Presumably based on prices to Reading and Reading West being the same. But they are of course much closer together than Green Park would be. Could ...

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

Does it? Where has this been announced? I used the words might and assuming...... no idea yet what the situation will be. I doubt any random rocking up to Reading station will get to Green Park for free, but if you're travelling from say Paddington to Green Park you may find it's the same price as ...

Re: BFTG - Luton

Yes - and then had the recurring hamstring injuries the season after That was a horror season for him tbh. Just handed a big 5 year deal, team playing crap, and clueless medical staff not having a clue how to treat it. Think he basically said in the end it just sorted itself out - all a bit weird H...

Re: Rival Watch

I don't think Bowen would let a couple of defeats derail it. I like his mantra of earning the right to play by doing the nasty stuff well. You look at the 2005-07 team and the 2012 team and even with all abundant skill, the spine of both sides would run through brick walls for the team; Ivar, Sonko...

Re: BFTG - Luton

Thought it was interesting that Howe was on the bench as Right back sub. With Bowen saying that those that work hard during training will get selected, does that mean that Gunter isn't training well or even interested? I don't think he's injured. Baldock and McCLeary are getting selected as they ar...

Re: Swift's new role

Yeah, probably is, I can never tell. For some reason, I’m not sure if this is just me, but all the midfielders generally seem to drift over to the left more than the right during the game. A lot of our chances seem to come from the left hand side. Or is this just me? Havent seen a heat map but Swif...

Re: The idiots of Twitter thread

He didn't exactly celebrate his goal did he? I personally really like him and was really happy to see him score, but did notice that his celebrations were quite muted. Twitter message by him here (https://twitter.com/modoubarrow14?lang=en) says a lot ... I think it was a pretty apt celebration. He ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Sean Evers

We'd need at least 3 CBs out. We're more likely to go 2 CBs or play him or Howe or Rino RWB with Yiadom at CB than Gunts imo. If we genuinely got stuck with Moore, Miazga and Morrison injured or suspended I would assume any number of McIntyre, Blackett, Yiadom, Pele, Odimayo, Rinomhota, Richard's, ...

Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

I spoke to Liam Moore after the match and he came off the pitch cos he was knocked out in the second fall. Said his shoulder was hurt in first half but was fine after the match. Ouch. Thought he looked borderline concussed so makes sense. Yep, was surprised when his shoulder was mentioned as he loo...

Re: BFTG Millwall

Deserved win against one of the poorest sides I have seen this season. First half we were excellent with Swift imperious. Rhino in a supporting role and Ejaria surprisingly quieter. (I wonder if they were targeting him giving more room for Swift.) Great goals by Obita and Baldock and unlucky not to...

I can only assume that Derby are not completely stupid, and will take further action against the other two in due course, once court proceedings have finished. Court proceedings already over: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-50041085 They have both been fined the maximum 6 weeks wag...

Re: Rival Watch

Apparently, it was a case of "Take a paycut or get the sack". Obviously don't know the terms of his contract but that seems a bit irregular. I've seen rumours that he wasn't covered by the club's insurance so they were in essence, trying to deduct the cost of his treatment from his wages....

Jagermesiter1871 Sorry but where the oxf*rd is blue collar street food?

It's different stands. Four in the fanzone area in East. There are a couple each outside South Stand and ED. Don't think there's anything in West?

Re: BFGT Preston (H)

Really good result and quite deserved. A few words of caution to start though. I though Preston were the worst side I've seen this season except us, so baffled how they're riding so high. Plus despite better defending and play in general they still got a couple of alarming free headers they didn't ...

Disgusting.......Theres too many welsh people at this club.....Bout time the banners were out. "Dydyn ni ddim eisiau Cymry yn y Clwb yma. Ewch yn ôl i rygbi." (They may have to extend club 1971 to get all that in...) That's what they should say. We are gonna groundshare with Cardiff at th...

Re: Congratulations, you are the new Reading manager

I'd invite Maffff, LordCKS, RoyalBlue, Strap and anyone else currently having a tantrum at Gomes sacking and Bowen's appointment to training. Then I'd kill them. Burn them. And Bury the ashes under one of the training pitches. And we'd all be happier people. Wee bit harsh that - I'd just make them ...
