Re: The generic transfer thread

Indeed. Could see Al-Ittihad upping their bid, especially if the stories about Jota and Benzema are true.

Re: The generic transfer thread

150m has got to have been very tempting. If only there was young right-sided attacker, ideally based in the NW, available? :?

CountryRoyal Anyone know good places to park for this? Least amount of walking possible (no I’m not lazy)

Road Trip Heroes are always a good starting point.

Re: another, thants right another embargo for late PAYE payments - a new embargo

3points Interesting to note Southend's 10 point deduction (albeit from the National League not the EFL) for repeated non-payment of HMRC liabilities.

Thank god they got city status rather than us, or we'd be four points below the bottom four.

Buckingham Group, who built the Bearwood training ground, and currently working on the Liverpool's Anfield Road stand and Northampton's East Stand, have gone into administration. They were already a couple of months behind on the Anfield schedule.

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

Think it was a 2 carriager. Surprisingly large numbers of fans exited through Green Park and I did think it might get tight on the train, but quite a few of those looked to have parked in the construction site car park just before the station. In the end, there was plenty of room on the train. Bough...

Re: Summer 2023 Transfer Speculation

Up top, losing Smith was a massive blow. Ehibhatiomhan has started pretty well I’d say, some encouraging performances. Knibbs has been solid. Azeez poor so far. Vickers good but very inexperienced Feels to me there is less there to ‘fix’ than the defence. Confident Carroll and Ehib will score given...

Re: BFTG Port Vale

Decent prematch in the Queens Head, the Titanic Steerage was lovely. I'm quite bemused by the other pubs being home fans only and largely empty, whereas that Queens Head was packed and they were racking it in. The game was entirely forgettable, we looked the better team and Vale looked poor, but we...

Barcelona playing at the 49k capacity Olympic Stadium this season https://estadiolimpic.barcelona/sites/default/files/2023-07/Estadi_0.jpg Saw Espanyol v Las Palmas there. Not a great stadium for football TBH. Vinny Samways was playing for Las Palmas and had Madonna's soundcheck in the background a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (h)

Did Selles say anything last night on Smith's injury and also AC? Is he really on holiday? Didn't mention Smith. Just said that AC had resumed training later due to injury and he's a good pro. None of the questions were that revealing, though we did discover which motorway is Noel Hunt's favourite....

Yep, as posted above. We had the all-black third kit last year, pretty sure there was at least one game they wore it.

Anyone able to transcribe Selles' Q&A session? Ruben Neves* as per DJ Megaparty Absolute clown that fella. Confirmed Wing and Savage would be in the squad for tomorrow, plus a new player. Sellés came across well, nice sense of humour. Endearingly kept referring to Reading as a city. Sparks seem...

F1 bus return is now £5.50. Off-peak day return from Reading Main to Reading Green Park is £3.10. 14:37 gets you to Green Park for 14:44. It's 14 minutes walk to the Megastore from the station. Or you can play it safe and get the 14:07. There's a train at 17:14, which depending on stoppage time, mi...

Wonder how many people will be over 1,500? And if their selling criteria will typically split as Day 1 – 1,500+ points, Day 2 – 1,350+ points as per the website's Exeter example?

With the station at Green Park now being open, the number of people using the buses (especially to the town centre) would probably fall anyway. F1 bus return is now £5.50. Off-peak day return from Reading Main to Reading Green Park is £3.10. 14:37 gets you to Green Park for 14:44. It's 14 minutes w...

No half-time entertainment!

Apparently the pitch has got gray leaf spot again, meaning access to the playing surface will be limited to players and referees only.

South East being packed full of NIMBYs presumably, wonder if any councillors will get booted out at the next local election because of ...
