Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

As outlined previously, the Administrators set a target for naming a preferred bidder by today. That goal was designed to create momentum, and it achieved exactly that. We have received a number of strong, credible offers. That interest is extremely positive for the future of Sheffield Wednesday. F...

Re: Fixtures 2025/26

Only one more International break this season, at the end of March (Wigan H). Once we've got the rescheduled Luton H Thursday-night game out the way, we've only got the earlier Wycombe H KO on 14 Feb and rescheduled Wigan A match that will differ from the original schedule until the beginning of Mar...

Re: Football stats

Whore Jackie West Ham had the ninth-highest average home attendance in the world last season.

Follow up Haaland and West Ham stat:

Since his arrival in the Premier League, only four West Ham players have scored more goals at the London Stadium than Erling Haaland.

Treating the missus and kids to a couple of nights away and never been to Home Park, so IN! x 4.
But £30 in League 1, hand your heads in shame Plymouth Argyle.

Re: Weekend Football

1st Vs 2nd in the Champ last night. Cov went away to Middlesbrough and put 4 past them. Lampard is doing an amazing job there. Fair play. 19 more goals than the next highest scorers in the Champ. That's crazy in such a competitive league. Hope they can keep it going. Currently on track for 108 poin...

Re: Stadium Matchday Upgrade

From Y24 it made no difference if it was DJ Megaparty or someone in the comms box, couldn't hear a thing. A few of us wondered if they'd just turned the East Stand speakers off. As others have said, you'd have no chance with an emergency announcement. Got to be honest, never really had a problem wit...

Kudos to Wagner and co, if they can get this built in 5 years. Looks absolutely sensational IMHO.

Re: World Cup 2026

Watched the Scotland game from about 75 mins onwards. Fantastic end to the game, very pleased for them. Seemed to be one of those nights where you just have a feeling (as a neutral at least) that something would break for them and they'd do it. Incredible scenes, and some top quality goals too Inde...

Re: Ex Royals

Nice interview with Paunovic, with a mention of his time at Reading. “I’ve been everywhere, but my epiphany moment was in England,” he says. “The first year at Reading was very nice; the second they sunk us with the embargo, the points deduction. That hurt but we avoided relegation and it was a less...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Only realised recently just how far from Salford the Peninsula Stadium actually is. Old Trafford and the Etihad are practically the same distance away, whereas I'd assumed they'd just be over the water from OT.

Not sure it's quite as cut and dried as that. MK Dons are at home and on a relatively decent run. Swindon not quite as good as earlier this season.

Re: Royal Elm Park

Would appear from the plans it will be rather more difficult to expand the stadium in the future? Guess it'll probably just be the East and South stands for expansion if it ever came to that. IIRC they wouldn't be able to expand the West anyway. Pretty sure the original plans were a staggered expan...

Not sure what they've done, but the sound quality of the PA system in the East Stand has got worse, not better.
