Re: Rival Watch

Possibly but it would be in line with our season record. Current form would see us W6 L6 and hit 75pts. We still have to play 6 out of 7 of the current top 8 so it’s gonna be tough. We’ve played Bournemouth and Brentford twice. So it’s 5 innit? Have still to play Norwich, Watford, Barnsley (a) Swan...

Re: Rival Watch

Our home form is weird - only 5 teams in the league have lost more at home than us but only 2 have won more than us. We are the only team not to draw a home game. the games all seem to have been strangely similar as well Either very comfortable wins when we've played well - Bristol, Cov, Bournemout...

Re: Rival Watch

Having witnessed all our play-off final disappointments, I'd far rather go up that way, than automatics. I am enjoying this season, certainly compared to the previous half dozen. We still have a problem playing at home, no idea why that is (lost 7?). Of course, if we went up, it'd be very, very, ve...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (h)

Brown was one of the bunch along with Baker at Chelsea who probably had their abilities misjudged to be a lot better than they've turned out to be, hence the huge salary

Still a decent player as is Baker. But not 30k a week good.

Re: Rival Watch

just seen that Swansea penalty decision - oh dear. They just keep hanging in scraping out results. Will be gutted if they make it up, but they are in a decent position Did basically the whole top half of the table except Brentford and Stoke win this midweek? Apart from perhaps being a wasted opport...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

Puscas demonstrated all of the attributes that his critics last season said he didn't possess. Strong, powerful, able to hold the ball up and bring others into play, winning headers etc. He also bullied the life out of the defenders to the extent that Matt Mills and Curtis Davies said that they did...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (h)

yeah same team with Holmes in.

Yak should be back for the bench option. Not heard much on Araruna recently - would still be bench option at best and prob not come on mind you.

Re: Rival Watch

I think Bournemouth could fade away but the form of Barnsley and Cardiff is worrying and Barnsley in particular seem to have played a lot of the top sides already. I think if they win again today they will look pretty nailed on top 6, so we will have to win a lot of games still if we want to join t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

yes Holmes was very good. Been slightly critical of him at times (with the caveat he is still learning and often out of position) but he has loads of potential as a very good CB. Interesting he came on before McIntyre - realise its the RCB/LCB thing but pleased he was trusted rather than moving McIn...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

One benefit of having a few injuries this season, is the likes of Meite, Yiadom, Moore and Puscas should be really fresh and firing. obviously its a manic season and mentally and physically 2 games a week takes its toll I'm sure. Add Swift in if (big if) he comes back soon and fully fit and you have...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

I think Tetek has been used a couple of times. But yes all a bit early for them I think.

In all honesty, back in the days of 5 subs, they wouldnt be getting a look in. They are there for the experience as much as anything

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

*20 Main issue I have with the squad depth is perhaps one too many CB’s and not enough LB’s. In theory, Gibson and McIntyre are the backup LB’s but I think we’d need a little more if Richards were to pick up a longer term injury May be a bit unfair on Gibson who has looked OK here but I’d prefer a ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

I thought Semedo was very good. Couple of loose passes but an excellent 'destroyer'. Who claimed they couldn't see him as a CDM? Amazing (and maybe a little sad) how much more cheerful I am today than after last week's Wycombe shitshow It's annoying because if we had turned up at Wycombe last week ...

Two down one to go. Better get the hat ready just in case.

Have we won more than 2 games in row all season?

This is a fantastic post.

tbf, winning 3 games in a row isn't particularly easy anyway. Don't imagine there are that many runs over the course of the season where you do it.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

yeah the squad is fine subs bench could well look like Southwood, Baldock, Aluko, Gibson, McIntyre, Semedo, Meite, Holmes, Esteves on Saturday. Thats absolutely enough depth. Araruna could make it as well I assume. Even if MM and Rino are out, there is still loads of cover. Missing the star quality ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

Whole new look to our attack if we have Puscas, Meite and Joao all fit - lots more options there. Such a shame Swift is injured as think he’d make a huge difference in our midfield

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

Sat back too much towards the end but an absolutely crucial win - esp with the other results again tonight

Big plus to have Puscas back and playing well. After a dodgy start Ejaria was excellent as well.

Well done lads and onto the next one
