Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a) sponsored by Ricky Newman

Speedy wingers is up there with not playing out from the back as the two cliches that would supposedly make us much better whilst likely doing nothing of the sort We’ve had speedy Wingers recently whilst playing some of the most turgid football on record. Plus Meite and Ovie aren’t exactly slow, or...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a) sponsored by Ricky Newman

S'cuz we don't use wingers, innit. There's a fair bit of disagreement about whether Ejaria is best wide left or central. We are short on players who fit the left hand roll well, but with Ejaria, Olise, Baldock, Richards and Semedo we've got options. And with Meite, Olise, Yiadom and Esteves, it'd be...

Ok, as there isn't one yet, here goes... Disappointing that we didn't win but on balance many positives, away point, defence looked very solid, Rafa back to his best. Rafael 8. Yes I know, this will raise eyebrows and it's probably a reaction to the negativity towards him here, but he showed us how...

Re: Should Reading change our club crest...

True. I'm holding onto my Elm Park green trees one. Might be worth £20 one day. Some people have some really old ones though, I've seen disgusting yellow/blue hoops. No idea what that was from, probably an away kit before my time... Away kit circa 1992-1994 I think. Ah ok so not too long before I b...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by Scott Murray

Olise is a huge source of goals (4 assists, 2 goals in 9(4)) so I think he's worth the occasional soft game disappointing game. I think Semedo could be a great sub. He can come in and add a bit more steel to the forward line without losing a lot of creativity, and we don't have to worry about him f...

Re: BTFF Millwall

The pass from Olise for our goal was an absolute beauty. As you both missed it (or misidentified who it was from), here it is. Feast for the eyes. https://twitter.com/ReadingFC/status/1331901751906201600 Er... I didn't miss it, that bold bit wasn't anything to do with the goal Sorry, I misread it. ...

Sutekh Actually shouldn’t Joao’s goal technically be credited as a Białkowski og?

Don't think so no.

Only if the shot was off target.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a) sponsored by Ricky Newman

We'll get way more from playing Holmes than Gunter. If Gunter was here Holmes wouldn't have played a minute and the twitterati wouldn't have had the dual pleasure of declaring Esteves the beat thing since sliced bread and then a totally shit waste of space

Re: BTFF Millwall

Joao - that's what I originally thought but replays suggested to be it started pretty much on the line and continued over the line before he then fell in the box. No chance. Thought the reverse so watched the in game replay carefully. You must be right because no one seemed to claim for it, and T&a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a) sponsored by Ricky Newman

Only just seen the replay of the foul for the free kick. Couldn't get much softer imo. Debatable whether it actually even is a foul. For me, Rino (unintentionally) catches him slightly as he's winding up to shoot. I think the ref's got it spot on (unlike a lot of the rest of the game), but it's a t...

https://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=188120 I know I said I'd drop him. I would have dropped him. He pulled off a great save, didn't drop a clanger but was maybe a bit dodgy on the freekick. Get over it. I have nothing to ‘get over’ m8, no need to be so defensive  yeah, that...

Cabral - 7 top save from Bod and no howlers Holmes - 6 mostly solid but lost his man twice in the box which could easily have been punished and wasn't. New Dim Tellor unjustified love target. Richards - 7 good game and some very tidy moments Moore - 7 solid game Morrison - 7 solid game Lauren...
