Re: Rival Watch

I’m not sure tbh. Certainly some were quite scathing about our first half performance there, and Hudders being in a compete rut I thought the WBA performance was a very good one, but think this was very much us being on top of our game There was always the fear that if other teams stopped the ball ...

Re: Swift's new role

He's not the same player as the one I've seen the past two seasons. Fitter, stronger, more direct, as showboaty as before, but with much more purpose. Not trying to play his way out of quite such tight holes or in such dangerous areas. Tracking, tackling, intercepting. Set pieces more reliable. And ...

Re: The idiots of Twitter thread

The lads on twitter are really being pathetic about the McCleary situation. A consummate professional who has endured a real challenge in a difficult part of his career has just scored for us rounding of a great win and they are having a go at him. The mind boggles. It’s basically just that cretin ...

Re: BFTG - Luton

When is Joao likely to be back from injury? I know a lot of people don't like him, but think if motivated he could be lethal in this league and definitely better than Meite (who I don't rate ... just don't think he has a footballing brain). If he puts the effort in, he can be a success, but he hasn...

Re: Rival Watch

we had that slightly odd run of missing pens and scoring the rebounds didn’t we? Yeah, never known anything like it. Must have been a tactic from Stam surely about positioning, when to run in, where to run in etc because it’s too much of a coincidence to score that many rebounds. Interestingly enou...

Re: Is Quest the best, most balanced, EFL highlights football program ever?

I haven’t watched the football league show for years. Suffering through our games once is normally bad enough and the rest of the division is just as cack. Normally will just have a look on sky champ highlights they post up for free. Have no real interest in watching other teams. You're either sat ...

Re: BFTG - Luton

I get it but if you read my original comment I say "not much choice" and "only viable". Sure , he could have changed formation and started players like Barrett, Olise, Loader and McIntyre but that was always unlikely. If Joao and Boye were fit for selection the entire time and y...

Sutekh
The Sheffield player’s hand is clearly in an offside position. This would then be consistent with the farcical disallowing of the Firmino goal last week.

Arms don't count, it has to be a body part you can score with.

I think that’s what Sutekh is, sarcastically, referencing

Bugger.

Re: BFTG - Luton

Not to be a downer but he hasn't had much choice about the starting XI has he? Hard to praise a man for picking the only viable team. I'm not criticising him btw. :?: Blackett vs Richards vs Obita Blackett and McIntyre vs Moore, Morrison and Miazga Pele vs Rinomhota and Ejaria Meite vs Puscas Plus ...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EI8cHWbXkAEf9k5?format=jpg&name=medium To the naked eye that looks like the defenders knee is playing him on. To make matters worse that wasn't even the cross from which they scored. I've not seen it yet but according to Durham and The Moose on TalkSport (I know, I k...

Re: BFTG - Luton

Have to take issue with people saying the teams we are playing are poor, Preston great before we played them and great since, Millwall for the first hour were branded as poor, won the game before and won today, Luton been scoring goals and losing narrowly and ran Fulham close at the cottage. maybe ...

Re: Rival Watch

URZZZZ Preston have had 8 penalties so far this season! Is it me or is that extremely high for this stage of the season?

They spend half the game rolling around on the floor, so I guess it's inevitable the refs will fall for a few.

Re: BFTG - Luton

Really interesting to see how the team reacts to their defeat / poor result under Bowen.

Still plenty of work to do to pull away from the bottom. And we've had mini runs before and then failed to keep it up. This feels a bit different though.

Re: BFTG - Luton

Just how clueless have the last two managers been in knowing the players and the systems to get the best out of players. So many times I posted on here just what an utter ineffective showpony Swift was.....yet now he is the player we have all been dreaming of and doing what we all wanted to see him...

Re: BFTG - Luton

Rafael - Nothing to to do. Kicking poor though. 6 Yiadom - Not his best game. Sometimes needs to play the ball down the channels rather than dribbling his way out. 6 Miazga, Moore and Morrison - Never troubled by a toothless Luton attack. 7 Richards - Good performance from Omar. Defended well and g...

Re: BFTG - Luton

What I really liked about that performance was the game management. We passed it about at the back to control the game, but never allowed ourselves to get under dangerous pressure doing it. And we still had an out ball when we needed it. I haven't seen a Reading side control a game in that way for y...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Sean Evers

Pretty sure the only person on here calling Bowen a snake was reading4eva and just about everyone laughed at him for being a dick. Twitter on the other hand, now that's populated almost entirely by dicks. Pretty sure Strap did too, but he`s unlikely to come here and admit he`s wrong, next two games...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Sean Evers

Easy this champ lark isn’t it? Wonder if anyone still thinks Jose was doing a good job? The difference is shocking. And we're not even playing that well. Last two second halves have been weak. This first half wasn't a lot more than decent. And yet Bowen is on 10 points from 12. Now THAT is turning ...
