Re: Ex Royals

Those two moves for the two Toms didn’t exactly work out for them. Hopefully can rebuild their careers now but I do think this is their level Were they ever better than League One players? I would argue they were rated as highly as they were at Reading (relative to their ability) was because they c...

Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Ratings

Still very happy with the window. They won't all work, but there's a solid logic to the vast majority. A few weaknesses here and there, but none of the new signings have done badly, MOM the closest, but I feel he's still got a little leeway yet for feeding on scraps to start and showing some improve...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (a)

Saw an approximately 11 year old wearing full Swindon gear in the Dolan on Saturday. Became ashamed at myself for silently mulling over ‘what age is it appropriate to give a child grief?’ and chastised myself for having such a thought. I feel like that's a 'make eye contact, hold for slightly too l...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (a)

rabidbee If Doyle can't get into the starting XI in the league, shouldn't we play him here? If he picked up a goal or two), that could be a good boost.

Absolutely

Re: Hunt out.

Selles certainly was better than Hunt when he left.

On the other hand, he's failed twice since leaving and doesn’t know the squad. So current Selles is worse than previous Selles anyway.

And let's not forget Savage came out with some less than complimentary comments about him after he left.

Re: Hunt out.

No thanks.

It's not like he'd be walking back into the same squad.

Don’t think Hunt is going anywhere anyway.

Re: Hunt out.

Why is the CF always so deep and behind the wingers? That’s one I’d like to know. And it’s not MOM as Marriott was there as well But 4 games unbeaten is fair enough despite some ropey performances It's not like Smith was a big scorer for us and we've been relying on the striker for goals. The winge...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (a)

Could play a strong side with Northampton called off, but think it's still best to change it up and get as much playing time across the wider squad as possible, and its a big squad. .......................Stevens Abrefa, Stickland, Dorsett, Ritchie .......................Fraser ................Doyle...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Shut up dick. I'm with Windermere here, Ahmed was awful, should have been hooked 20 minutes earlier (even if it did mean Dorsett coming on) He certainly wasn't "awful". Whether you agree with me, or Mick Gooding who also picked him, choosing him as MOTM or not is a different matter. He pu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Well I enjoyed it. High energy, direct. Running at them, created chances. Solid defending to see it out. If you can't enjoy that after 5 games without a win, I don’t see the point in watching. I did enjoy the game and great to get 3 points I don’t think we were good though and PV matched us pretty ...

Re: Hunt out.

Performance poor again and against very limited opposition and like Brogue and a number of others I'm not convinced by Hunt/coaches. Hopefully the win and clean sheet will build confidence and I would wholly expect to see a tangible improvement in the next block of games given we have 2 weeks to wo...

Brogue
Snowflake Royal Great performance, hanging on a bit at the end, but first win, first clean sheet.

Great press, great energy and pace. Lots of chances. Just need to start converting a few more.

Stick to being told inside info, you're not great at the match analysis.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

A related rule that tickles me is that if dissent comes from the bench, the referee cannot identify who actually said it, and no-one comes forward, they have to book the manager. I wonder if that's ever happened? That makes sense. Get your staff in order or take the consequences. What happens if th...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

:?: It literally describes what happened in the article. I know but I don’t see how kicking the ball away falls under any of the elements listed. When players do it they get yellow cards. Not sure if it's actually a different rule, but they suggested on the commentary (courtesy of someone tweeting ...
