Re: Ex Players

Kelly (and Norwood for good measure) were both decent players but it’s about integrating them into the right system which is where they both struggled to an extent. Wouldn’t call them one dimensional as such but certainly wouldn’t describe them as all rounder players Partnering Norwood with William...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Yeah, if this drags on recruitment will be affected. Plus, after the false promises of last season I can see our best players wanting to bail. I don’t think there’ll be any announcement until mid July now, but at least the new season doesn’t start until 10/11 August. On what basis do you make the j...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

LOL, some slot machine nerds have used some vague data to calculate what money everyone else would have had if City hadn't competed in the PL and were not replaced by anyone else.

Even if they get found guilty of most counts and stripped of their titles, this won't happen.

Fundamentally the problem with VAR is the problem with onfield decisions here. The refs are shockingly poor.

Re: Rival Watch

Not that it’s the right place to put this but I find watching Premiership football so dull these days. I am watching Man City play West Ham, but I much preferred watching Crewe play Crawley earlier. I am probably alone here but City’s success has just made it all so oxf*rd boring. Watched Arsenal v...

The FA It seems to us that [with respect to Howe] it ought to be possible for the club to find other suitably experienced professionals to manage the sale of the club, if need be

They clearly haven't been paying much attention.

They're clearly clueless.

Re: Rival Watch

Also Posh- two PO failures in a row. Can they keep the quality in that squad together and in the same shape, or are they going to dip?

They have quite a young team admittedly. Although a hell of a lot of Bolton's will be pushing 30 next year, so getting to beyond prime.

Re: Rival Watch

Bolton will be an interesting one. Their defence is shit, the vultures will be circling for their attacking talent and they're coming off the double whammy of an auto promotion and play off heartbreak.

Could win the league, could fiinish 18th.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Howe originally said he hoped the deal would be completed by the end of May. There’s no doubt that things are progressing, but the football insider suggested that it would be another 2 months until the EFL approve the deal. If that’s the case we won’t be in a position to sign players etc. until the...

Franchise FC
From Despair To Where? No, because there's enough evidence out there to suggest things are moving forward.

Agreed
If Dai pulls out now I can’t see how the club survives at all as the security will be enacted

Re: Rival Watch

And stop Reading FC too. Really doesn't help us having Bolton in L1 next year. Don't think we are in serious contention anyway, unless we make some clever signings. Agree, can't really see us challenging until the embargo is lifted and that's assuming the ownership situation gets resolved before th...

Clyde1998
blythspartan Bolton remind me of us under Stam. Oxford are deservedly ahead tbf and I see no way back for Bolton, but hope I am wrong.

Yeah. No drive, intensity or ambition.

That's madness given their game against us they had all that in spades.

I love that the agent had the cojones to send an unsolicited invoice for £800,000 without a formal contract in place. And he seemed genuinely surprised when we didn't pay it I too would like to try my luck invoicing random companies for ~1 million pounds, you never know   There was (and p...
