Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham united (a)

CountryRoyal I like these Rotherham commentators

^this!

Biased but in a fun way and happy to complement Reading when appropriate.

Nice local feel as well.

Chuckled when they were chatting about Mick Gooding and wondering what he was up to today.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham united (a)

Lower West Aerial assault today. Going to be an uncomfortable game.

Happy to be corrected - but isn’t that the stereotype of Rotherham and the current team is more high press and energy?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

Couple of things: Joao can be the penalty taker - but not like that. Watch Ribery or someone. That technique is ridiculous. The technique isn't the issue. I don't think any of us here can teach a top championship professional striker about penalty technique. The issue is simply his mind. Far too em...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

So the pen misses now of cost us 5 points at least. Arguably 8. If we draw level with Brum you have to fancy the win against ten men. We lost. So three dropped points. If he scores against Preston it’s very likely to be the winner. We drew. So two lost points. If he scores tonight we have plenty of...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

On the positive side, I thought the Wycombe commentary was a bit local but quite balanced, usually right and fairly entertaining. So...that’s something... Absolutely, I thought it was very fair and entertaining. Was a good example of clearly supporting your team but not through rose tinted glasses.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

Joao is trying to lose us more points than he has won now.

That is 8 points he has cost us with spot kick misses against Wycombe, Preston and Brum.

Re: Referees

Personally I’m glad the introduction of VAR hasn’t lessened the debate on refereeing decisions. I was anti-VAR (and still am), with one of the main reasons being that I felt the base assumption that perfect refereeing decisions is good for the game, was incorrect. As football fans we love debating a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h)

Time to drop Olise and Joao for Wycombe bringing in Aluko and Puscas. They’ll be better suited for that game anyway.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h)

URZZZZ
Zip Dellor really is an idiot with all the Aluko love and Esteves hate.

Longer a player doesn’t play, the more they’re rated - Aluko wouldn’t have changed anything today

Not sure you can claim that - he was on the pitch for 5 minutes and showed more attacking intent and ability than the rest.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (h)

Snowflake Royal Yiadom has been poor since his return.

Just let them in by ignoring Morro's instructions.

Yes he has been massively poor in every game. Would much prefer Holmes or even Esteves

Interesting comments from Rowett - claiming that being made to change and give teamwalk in horrible facilities was extra motivation for his side.

Re: Rival Watch

70 could well be enough - from 7th down to 15th there are 3 points difference, and all these teams have mid table records so in my view Cardiff are no ore than a threat than say Preston, they've just picked up some points from winnable games. Outside the top 6 the league is very mediocre That could...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

This one isn’t even about us, but just... I just... but.. actually I have no words. Let's face it we are Premiership. I said a week ago we honestly are one of the best 15 teams in English football right now. https://griffinpark.org/index.php?threads/reading-1-3-brentford-jds-2-toney.134930/page-8 I...

Re: Rival Watch

Of course but it is hardly far fetched - a draw tonight is the most likely result I think. We are favourites to win tomorrow and whilst Bretford are too, Boro away could be a banana skin (although, their last couple of home results suggests otherwise). So first 3 results would probably be fairly sh...

windermereROYAL Surely one day Brentford wont have a prolific goal scorer.

My bets on Joao being top Championship scorer don't look so good now Toney is on 20 - 5 goals ahead! Come on Lucas - you need to score some hattricks.

What odds did you manage to get?

Re: Rival Watch

Bournemouth aren't losing to good teams either, 4 losses on the trot, 3 of them to Derby, Wednesday, Luton. Seems like all of the top four all have a tough fixture in the next few 8 days: Brentford v Bristol Swansea v Norwich Boro v Brentford Stoke v Reading Reading v Brentford Two wins for us in t...

Michael Morrison is the guest tomorrow on EFL on Quest. https://mobile.twitter.com/TalkReading/status/1355187560767746056 Media loving us at the moment and Paunovic must have signed off on us getting a bit higher profile. I thought Morro did alright - came across as a nice chap and they allowed a g...
