Re: Coronavirus outbreak

SCIAG
Snowflake Royal
SCIAG How many goals per minute would the coronvirus get in League One?

350

So by my calculations, if we signed COVID-19 and played it up front every minute of every game for the rest of the season, we would score 0 goals.

If I were playing against I'd go zonal marking rather than man to man.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h) sponsored by hopeless at home

Morrison is a leader at the back though. We don't have many of them. Moore is not as good at organizing the defence Miazga was also giving it some during the game. I really like him he’s got all the right attributes. We ought to try and buy him and build the defence around him. 'greed. He's still g...

Re: BFT well I don’t know what to call it without resorting to a lot of naughty words

Awful performance. Ejaria & Swift are the new Lampard & Gerrard. There have been some really good results & performances with them in the same team so there are definitely certain formations and line ups where they can operate perfectly well. What they definitely aren't are wingers, yet...

Re: Bowen Out.

Its not a case of having sympathy or shedding tears. Its simply a) making usable players unusable (esp Baldock who we really could have used early doors), and b) upsetting the squad. Obviously b) is more difficult to make judgement on, but it certainly wouldn't have helped having 2 popular players ...

Re: Bowen Out.

I agree here Every manager has their own ethos and way of taking the club forward and I sympathise with his thoughts that they weren’t going to fit in, whilst not necessarily agreeing. However, you treat them as humans and not as prisoners, which IMO was his worst mistake. You’d have thought Gunter...

Re: Bowen Out.

The combined contribution from the loanees was the turning point last season. Not least having a class keeper. Which was in part financed because a decision was made very quickly by the new management that Mannone/McNulty/Meyler etc were not required and were told exactly that. I doubt very much if...

Re: Bowen Out.

After that great week (Cardiff Home, West Brom & Huddersfield away). 1 goal conceded and 7 points we weren't talking about defensive frailties or playing styles. Having watched every minute of all 3 games. More questions than answers still remained. The squad wasn't up to the style that Gomes w...

Re: Bowen Out.

The point was, pre-season we couldn't fund the replacements until those players were gone. Yes, however, thats undoubtedly quite common in football. They are still professionals, you keep them involved and ready for action when needed, and if someone had come in, all the better. Publicly sidelining...

Re: Bowen Out.

I don't get a lot of joy out of criticising Gomes, and he was the right man for the job last year, but I've also little doubt it was the correct decision to sack him when we did - and I was quite vocal about saying it at the time The combined contribution from the loanees was the turning point last...

Re: Bowen Out.

Ah wow. So in other words his appointment has been something of a revelation you could say. But a lot of those games we got 3 points in since Bowen came were games in which we were better than the opposition and won the game. We simply played less of those teams in Gomes' stint. Gomes had preseason...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h) sponsored by Neil Clement

I wonder if Bowen might field a team similar to this as West Brom wouldn't expect it. He could put Meite on the bench (he has played a lot recently) and start Timbe there instead, with like you say Adam picking the passes and Puscas in the middle for crosses in. If you're resting Swift and Ejaria, ...

Bored of an attention seeking individual spaffing the board with incessant repetitive nonsense?

Lets start a thread with aforementioned attention seeker's name in the title.

That'll learn 'em.

Yep, total knee jerk reaction to a few wins by the owners. He is totally unproven, and there is going to be literally no one better than us queuing up to hand a contract to a guy in his first management job, with an expensive squad, that SHOULD be comfortably avoiding relegation. There was no viabl...

Re: Return to 3-5-2?

Another disappointing result and performance. 2 points from 4 games since Joao's injury. I repeat my opinion. Our system relies upon a striker who can play his role; it's shit without him. I suppose we may have seen it last night but Miazga's injury and McIntyre's suspension put a stop to it. It's ...

Re: FA Cup 19/20

However, lose the next 2 games and Bowen might decide that the play offs are too much of a stretch and it will be worth risking the First Team squad playing an extra game next Tuesday night. If we win one and lose one of the next two that will make Bowen's decision harder - but the truth is that wh...
