Re: Rival Watch

Derby have signed winger Jordon Ibe on a two year deal Could be a good signing for them, he’s still at a relatively young age and IIRC he’s had a decent loan spell there before According to Bournemouth fans he has serious off the pitch issues. May be a fresh start is what he needs..... Well, he's p...

Re: CheLOLsea

Will have to go some to beat Paulo Maldini who is on 647. Of course it is doable if he stays at Milan for the next 7 years or so but I can't see him not going to one of the elite clubs eventually. I wasn't meaning exclusively Milan, I just mean in total, for any and all clubs. If he was to break th...

Re: Rumour - Perry Ng

I'm in no way itk, it's just someone I know who happened to work with an ex player over the summer but the impression I got was that it went a little bit deeper than just not liking him but a serious breakdown in the working relationship with a number of squad members. Also, the player in question ...

Re: Rumour - Perry Ng

Of course. There's always chance it's a dissgruntled doer player but when you get the same story from a number of different sources, pattern does emerge. I also thought Bowen had done a decent job and was shocked when he was sacked but I like to think he (and Gomes) have left a foundation for Paunov...

Re: Rumour - Perry Ng

Maybe the owners saw his experience and insight as valuable but didn't believe he was the right man for day to day, hands on involvement with the squad.

The person I got information from has direct contact with a former player so I'd regard them as pretty reliable.

Re: Rumour - Perry Ng

Was Ng a Bowen target? I guess he could've been, but I don't remember seeing his name before Bowen left. Does it matter if he was. If you choose to believe that Eddie guy off Twitter, the main problem with Bowen was Bowen. He was allegedly actively disliked by many at the club before he was replace...

Fcuk me OMA, you're the only person who's embarrassed himself on here over the last 2 days.

No, I don't particularly agree with Ian's point but I haven't spent the last week repeatedly trying to conduct a one man flame war with him.

Grow up.

Re: Rumour - Perry Ng

I concede. The linguistics experts who have written academic papers on the subject are wrong and the bloke on the internet is right. But yes, as Nameless says, when the outfield player goes on goal, according to the laws of the game, he is the goalkeeper. By the laws of linguistics, the letter y is ...

That would be the one where he sacked Leyton Orient club legend Terry Howard at half time and offered two other players out for a fight. "You can bring your mates and you can bring your dinner, because you'll fcuking need it when I'm finished with you" They were 1-0 down to Sam Allar...

Pepe the Horseman
Stranded FCSB - fomerly Steua Bucharest through in what looks like the game of the round - winning 5-4 on penalties after the tie finished 6-6 AET. 4-4 after 90mins.

And Backa Topola finished the game with 9 men.

Wasn't she a character in South Pacific? Evidently a bit of a slapper.

Yawn   You do realise you are allowed to be wrong once in a while, snowball. I think I'll go with the sourced based evidence rather than the opinion on this one. You're like the Dominic Cummings, telling us not to believe experts when it suits your arguement. Anyway, enough. Perry Ng, do...

Re: Rumour - Perry Ng

Don't know how much the curriculum has changed, but when I was in primary school in the late 70's and early 80's I was definitely taught that the letter "y" can operate as a vowel in worlds such as rhythm, gym, bicycle and, appropriately enough, syllable and it is interchangeable as a vowe...

Ian can be tedious and self aggrandising but I feel embarrassed for OMA and his clown act today.

He was flat on his back, arms outstretched on the edge of the 6yd box. I though the protocol in those circumstances was to stop the game for a suspected head injury.

Re: Goal of the Season 2020-2021

Personally, I don't rate free kicks that highly. It's a static, set piece situation that can be rehersed, unless it's something completely inspired like Willie Carr's donkey kick to Ernie Hunt.
