Handsome Man Can't be arsed to wade through 16 pages, but I was impressed by Kevin Doyle celebrating his goal against us, and delighted to see him miss the open-goal.

He came over and applauded the Reading fans after the game too.

Re: Adkins interview on BBCRB 24/01/14

Nonsense. He gave us promotion and whatever profit he may eventually make will be a tiny fraction of what promotion earned us. Even if it was all loans, they will appear as debts during due diligence and may affect the price the buyer pays, but I see no reason any new owner will want to hang onto th...

Not really I'm none the wiser. Care to offer an explaination to me?

The words are all lyrics from a song called "the terrorist or the dreamer" by Mick Hanly. It's about a few things.

Re: Match Fixing

The fixer says it costs him £7000 per player, and it looks like in this instance it's a Conference game he's talking about. He also says that it's expensive in the UK, and it usually costs £70k per player. So he's talking about it happening in the higher leagues as well I assume. Oh must have misse...

Re: on my way BFTG: Millwall H

One more thing. Our throw Ins were symptomatic of what was wrong. Slow ponderous predictable and no movement. Must do better at this sort of basics Our throw-ins were awful today, nobody wanted to come to receive the ball and even when they did we lost possession within one or two touches. Also, we...

Re: Birmingham Predictions

Pepe the Horseman B'ham in good form at the moment. 3-0 Reading, with a judas bet at 7/2, just in case.

Not really in good form (ignoring the cup game), only one win in last six (LLDLLW) Goal difference already 7 worse than us.

4-0

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

The $12m question is:- has he paid the final instalment and if not why not and if not why not: now what? A reliable source has told me that the final instalment has not been paid yet (this was at 5pm last night) On BBCRB last weekend Dellor said the balance was due by the end of this month. If we r...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

it just sounds like a great business deal sell a club for millions. wait a bit, get it back for a quid, for bugger all reason. whoever drew that contract up/signed it wants shooting It wouldn't be for bugger all reason though would it? It is quite a common penalty clause, basically you lose your de...

General B I left after 25 minutes on Sunday and watched the rest of the game on TV in the hotel with a Guinness and a couple of rum and cokes.

Re: Nigel Adkins

How many people heard the interview with NA on Radio Berks this morning?? Very worrying what he said (or what more importantly what he didn't say) - you can tell that he's mighty pissed off with lack of funds and players we got in during the transfer window and lack of activity in the loan window s...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

Doesn't seem to have been an update on the final handover of SJM's 49% which was supposed to happen today. Very quiet. It's not exactly date critical. I'm sure it will go through before the close of the year. Someone at the game today told me that there is a clause in the purchase contract that sta...

Re: Adkins: 'I don't think Reading can reach 100 goal target

Hammond has said today that "the main frustration for us was that we were unable to acquire one or two targets who interested us earlier in the summer. Unfortunately, finances being what they were, we were not in a position to see those through".

So he's laying the blame back with AZ.

Amazing that we were originally going to sign 8 players Then the final week of the transfer window we were going to sign 3 more players Then with 3 hours to go we've lost arguably our best CB and our 2nd best winger with nobody coming in Did anybody really expect any different from Reading FC?
