Re: Relegation poll

I am backing us to win tomorrow night and then we will be up to 15th or 16th. Win again against out of form Doncaster on Saturday and we overtake Doncaster and move up somewhere between 12-15th. No need to panic anytime soon.

Re: Relegation poll

Win next two home games and relegation worries will dissipate. We have played a lot of the top sides away and have a lot of easier gams ahead before NY. Reckon we will be mid table half way through the season.

Re: Ashqar Ahmed

Thought he was one of our best players on Saturday v Exeter personally (I was there so that is not an armchair view). Ahmed is certainly not the finished article but excellent for his age.

Why do so many on here want to pick faults with our young players and bash the manager.

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

Give the bloke a chance. If we draw with Cardiff and beat Northampton and Donny at home we will be mid table.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (a)

traff Masterstroke of a double substitution in the 98th minute from Hunt!

Much as I still Hunt in I have to say that was one of the daftest substitutions I have ever seen. Felt that we lost what little momentum we had as a result and assume he was doing it to settle for a point.

Re: Hunt out.

Very much Hunt in but I have to say RFC were very poor today - particularly in the first half. Quite good for 20 minutes in the second half but then both sides seemed to settle for a point.

Re: Hunt in

One factor some are forgetting is that most above us have played a game more. If we had played and beaten Northampton (quite possible) we would be 14th on 11 points tonight. Hunt must be given much more time.

Re: Hunt in

Anyone who wants him out now should be the ones going. Not the sort of fans who should be here. Just impatient, angry kneejerkers. The opening games have been tough, we've lost a lot of our best players from last season and are bedding in new owners and a mostly new squad with an inexperienced mana...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

And so what some of you are saying is that the new owners raised expectations too high, didn’t deliver enough good players to achieve those expectations and so we should punish the manager, who has not been supported sufficiently, by sacking him. I guess that all makes perfect sense. For me if Hunt...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Getting really fed up with the bedwetting whiners on here. As Mick and Tim said in BBCRB before the match we lost most of our best players in January and June and the replacements are not as good. We have played a likely top 6 side away today and run them close. Give Hunt a chance to build a team. D...

Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Ratings

We brought in a similar number of new players in summer 2023 and early in the season (which started badly) most thought the jury was out as to whether it had been a good window. The same seems to be the case this time. No way of knowing for a few months, but my gut is that there has been a bit of pa...

Re: Confimred - Sean Patton

Very unusual that we pay a fee for an U21 player and so we must think he has potential.

Hey Brogue do you know what size of fee is involved?

Re: Hunt out.

May just be an impression but it feels like the teams change a lot more season by season in L1 It’s why I don’t really take the ‘new team needs time to bed in’ as much of an excuse. That seems to be every team in this league to me. And whilst I like the idea of building for next year - Elliott will...

Re: Confimred - Matt Ritchie

In reality we are a bottom 2 team, with a load of new players and a manager apparently clueless on where to play them. We really need a win today to get some confidence and try to get a regular starting 11, style of play and tactics. As I have said before, in 2023 it took Selles 17 league games to ...

Re: Matt Ritchie

He fits the ‘spectacular and exciting’ transfer window. You know, the one where all you can see is Jacobson’s and Couhig’s legs sticking out of other club’s skips while they rummage around. “Look!! Found one!!” I don’t think that’s a narrative that sticks tbh. We’ve made some fairly ambitious signi...

Re: Players on international duty

Enough squad depth to handle a few missing players and surely it will be better to avoid fixture pile up later? If we beat Vale on Saturday (which I think we will), we'll also be desperate to keep up the momentum in another winnable game against Northampton, instead of having a 2 week break and a t...

Mark O’Mahony confirmed in the Ireland U21 squad for their qualifiers against Moldova and Andorra: https://www.fai.ie/latest/under-21-squad-named-moldova-and-andorra-qualifiers/ No Charlie Savage in the Wales first team squad (unsurprisingly): https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cwy5zjpzn...
