Re: Record Watch 2020/21

After 10 games in the 106 season we only had 23 points (7-2-1) and so there is a chance we will actually be ahead of that this time. And at the start of the 2005/6 season there was a hope we would reach the play offs but no one expected us to go on the record winning run - especially after we lost t...

Re: Would you take 4th place now?

I am a tad of a gambler and so it is a no from me - lets just see how the season pans out. The next five games are all very winnable against sides in the middle to lower half of the table and so if we carry on playing really well we could conceivably end up with 31 points after 11 games. OK that is ...

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

Not sure I'd fancy Esteves defensively against many teams at the moment, Onyedima went past him about 4 times in the space of 20 minutes yesterday, and he rarely looked in line with the rest of the back 4. Thought Semedo looked very good though, high tempo, a few decent passes and won a lot in the ...

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

I think when you look at Bournemouth’s and Watford’s squads is hart to see past them for the top two over the course of the season, but particularly Watford. Can’t see too many teams getting much joy against them and when they click going forward they’ll be unstoppable. But there's only one place a...

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

Lastly on the debate about whether we have played anybody much, 3 of the teams make up the bottom 3 if you disregard the penalised Sheff Wednesday. True, dat, but six games in and defeat to us is a major factor in them being low in the table We've also played sixth place Watford, (sixth with a game...

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

Surprised and disappointed about the amount of stick Meite is getting. Yes, he had a relatively poor game last night and missed a pretty good chance but his work rate and commitment never drops, he's scored a load of goals in the past and will continue to score plenty for us going in the future. IM...

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

Didnt realise how many enemies Wycombe have from League 1 clubs because of their promotion. They got proper trolled last night. It's a shame for Wycombe - terrific that a relatively tiny club has reached this level, but last night they looked like a club that 'finished' 8th in League One last seaso...

Re: BFIT - Wycombe (H)

Much better after the double substitution, both players look very good. Esteves looks like a proper attacking right back. I've liked Holmes, but when you see the comparison it's not hard to appreciate who is better in the position. I thought Holmes had a solid game, didn't appear to me at least tha...

Re: Rumour: Joel Latibeaudiere

If we are bringing this lad in then IMO we must tie down McIntyre to a new contract first - otherwise if I was him I would walk at the end of the season and we will have another Loader situation on our hands. I really don't see the point of adding a CB when we have so many promising young players in...

Re: Rumour - Tomás Esteves

Tbf Esteves looks class. Shouldn’t see Holmes as being ‘dropped’ for him after a bad game. He is and was always an imperfect short term solution So would you bring him in next game been if he has been here for just 1 or 2 days? If Holmes continues to perform well I don't see why we should drop him....

Re: Rumour - Tomás Esteves

Tom Holmes suits a Warnock team tbh. Keep him in and move Esteves in for the game after Would be extremely harsh to drop Holmes for the next game - especially as he was in the Championship team of the week. And Esteves is away playing international games and so won't even be able to train with the ...

Re: Spaculation - jack wilshere

Jack Wilshere’s career makes me genuinely sad. Such a good player just wrecked by injury Years back I wanted to place a bet that he would captain England to winning the World Cup. Could still happen. In October 2020 he signs for RFC. We get promoted to the PL in May 2021 and become an established P...

Re: Sone Aluko

Aluko might have been a poor signing so far and in truth he is now playing for his career as it is unlikely that his contract with us will be renewed in the summer. But this might play in our favour because if he has a great season and helps us to the PL, his huge initial fee will be justified after...

Re: Marc McNulty arrested for match fixing

i dont get the anger towards McNulty. he was offered a 4 year deal so he signed it. he was a very Reading signing and i was excited about him to be honest. It didnt work out, but there is no need for the reaction of some. He was a signing straight out of the Shorey Kitson Doyle mold, which i would ...

All credit to Aluko. Hope he can build on that positive Motm performance. And if my maths is right we had 5 Academy players on by the end. Superb all round performance. Well done to all the players and the manager.

Re: Rumour - Joseph Nkwonta

Franchise FC Rather surprisingly, I read that at first as Johanna Konta

And I don't even like tennis

Personally I think she would be a great signing for us as she is so good at knocking the ball into the net.
