Re: Next Manager

Will be hard to fully get behind a grumpy, uninspiring welsh oxf*rd of a manager who will never be as good a manager as he was a player.
But we can try.

Re: BFT ???????????????????????????????????????????

The amount of times we have conceded in the opening 10-15 mins of a half is ridiculous and comes back to the earlier point of closing down/pressing. We simply dont do it and that doesnt work in today's game, where every other team will. Is it the players, the manager or worry about fitness levels?!?...

Re: GOMES OUT!

Hi DD. Not sure who DD is but get the feeling I should be mildly insulted - DD must also talk some sense tho, so hopefully our paths will cross! In all seriousness though, Woodcote Royal pretty much captures my thoughts on this. Surely got to get behind Gomes for now, there have been glimpses of br...

Re: GOMES OUT!

But he wears a smart suit, talks with a calm demeanour and is Portuguese to boot. We will be fine? It does amuse me though how we can go from potential world beaters to wanting the manager's head on a plate in the space of a few games. Constant knee jerk reactions. Gomes does need to lock down his f...

I can't hear Tim Dellor's voice, or even his name being mentioned, without punching the nearest cat in the face.

Re: BFTG - Charlton

I thought that the biggest difference in this game was Charlton's work rate. First half they barely pressed, gave us plenty of time on the ball, looked a yard off the pace and we needed to take advantage of that. Second half was a completely different story, straight from the whistle - Charlton step...

Re: Crowd for Charlton

Nameless If you log on to the ticketing website you can count how many tickets have been sold.
If it’s of that much interest !

I just counted 24,161
But I didn't factor in the different seat colours, which in hindsight may have been an error.

Re: VAR

Part of football has always been to moan and deal with decisions that may have been wrong, or right. I can deal with using goal line technology but VAR is sucking the joy out of scoring a goal, especially as we get more used to pausing celebrations awaiting a decision.
F**k VAR

Re: Will we get found out again?

Snowball The question was simply, "If we'd scored five, what would went be thinking?"

Simple question

It's one game, if we can replicate it again then who knows where we will finish, but optimism will quite rightly be rife!

Re: Rumour: Lucas Joao

Joao looked a beast when he came on the pitch on Saturday. Granted it was only for 20 mins and against Reading, but he looks like he will actually be able to hold the ball up and has got some skills to pay some bills.

Re: BFTG - Sheffield

Midfield was a mess and Jose has to rethink formation for the next game. Meite cannot play with his back to goal and was on his own most of the first half. Some our first touches were terrible too, Barrow notably guilty. Loader looked completely lost and slowed everything down, not once playing the ...
