Re: VAR

We can't just do a Brexit and get rid of it when everybody else uses it and it will be used in European Club competitions as well as Euros and World Cups I genuinely don't understand why not Because football is a worldwide game? Should we perhaps make the goal bigger so that we see more goals or wi...

Re: VAR

Feels very shortsighted to me, just getting rid. They just need to vote or putting strict rules in place on how/when it can be used and even applying a time limit i.e. if you spot nothing obvous in 30 secs, the decision stays as it was given on the pitch. Removing it will just see PL clubs playing ...

Re: Weekend Football

Read my post again. Have re-read-Liverpool have always done loads in the community but don't feel the need to adopt a self-proclaimed nonsense nomenclature. I don't support either team I just go by my observations and experiences from living in the area for nearly a decade. Newbie interloper. :wink...

Re: England - the future....

I'm on record as one of Southgate's biggest supporters - but his selections in recent times have become more and more frustrating. Maybe summed up by the fact that James Tarkowski - ranked first in the PL for aeriel duels won and blocked shots, and second in clearances, playing for the best defence...

Re: Weekend Football

Everton do a fcuk of a lot more work in the community than Liverpool so they do take being the "People's Club" quite seriously. So have Liverpool always done but don't feel the need to shout about it. Read my post again. Have re-read-Liverpool have always done loads in the community but d...

Re: Weekend Football

You are comparing something halfway through a season (in December no less) to the penultimate game where a title outcome would become a certainty depending on the result. It's completely different, not even remotely comparable. If the Spurs vs City game happened as regularly scheduled months ago, t...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Let's see shall we but it would be good to have it all sorted well before the start of next season which is just over a couple of months away-that is why the "months" concerned me. Yes Stranded there has been a lot going on between us and the EFL but not for the right reasons so let's hope...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

This probably merits a thread of its own? By the way, a bot OTT about "many years developing the player" when his early years were away at Chelsea and City. He was only with City for a year. With us for four. On checking, I see he was at Arsenal for a year as well before 7 years with Chel...

Just another £200,000 for the club to find.
It needs a lot more than my season ticket renewal to cover this latest tale of woe.

By the way, a bot OTT about "many years developing the player" when his early years were away at Chelsea and City.

My voices are tell me that the new owners will be used to model next season's kit when it goes on sale this Friday when the long awaited takeover will be announced. A photoshoot took place at a secret location in Dorset recently and will also features Ricky Gervais. Regarding "recently", ...

Re: Weekend Football

When has it happened previously? eh? This season Everton played at home to Man City. Everton were in a mess and in danger of going down, but Liverpool were top of the league on 42 points that day. If Man City won, Everton would have known it would help to stop Liverpool win the league. Were Everton...

Re: Weekend Football

planned on putting money on Man City scoring a hatfull against West Ham but the odds are terrible. To score 4 or more they are only evens and 5 or more is 9/4 Looks like they also expect West Ham to take something of a walloping What are the odds on West Ham winning? I might have a punt. The draw t...

Was having a chat with a family member at the weekend. Massive City fan who through work contacts has had a few opportunities for private conversations with people high up the chain there. In short - Pep more than happy for the media to create their 'Pep', and for fans to think he just inherits sup...

Re: Weekend Football

Watching that bit of a dirge of a game yesterday after the 2 games of 0-0 in Championship play-off games I was thinking about the Premier League effect on our top level and wondered how competitive and/or entertaining it really us. Looking back at 1991/92 some interesting ( to me at any rate) things...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Have watched Jackson Irvine a few times in English football and thought that he could do a good job for us. Re: Selles In

He certainly talks a good game and fully deserves another season. The slight concern, bearing in mind that the interview and article appear to be very much up to date, is that the takeover is still spoken of as "if" rather than "when". I suppose that, having been let down so ofte...

Sadly we remember our play-off game at Wembley v Bolton. Having beaten them shortly before that final we had some optimism ahead of the big day and the outcome might have been different if somebody had told Archie that their keeper wouldn't have studied his previous penalties. Anyway, fast fo...

I know that ours in not the richest club in the world but they could have offered the chance of winning something such as a free season ticket to encourage us to complete what was implied to be quite a lengthy survey. Greater numbers provide a wider view of matters. BTW I hate the expression "m...
