Got to give the kid a chance . I don’t think Southwood has shown that he is up to the required standard , but I have always thought this about Holmes as well , always thought he did his best but I’m not convinced it’s good enough .

This is nowhere near the worst RFC team , ability wise . But it is possibly one of the biggest wastes of ability teams we’ve had . This team , apart from a couple of players who are struggling at this level , should be well in the top half , pushing for the top six . Look what has happened at Nottin...

I am not yet convinced that Holmes has presently got what it takes to be a CB in this league , but at the moment it appears he is all we have got . At the moment does it matter too much whose wearing the shirts , the biggest problem is the tactics and the attitude .
