Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Slight Robbie Keane vibes in his statement. However I will give him a chance - no one seems to know too much about him so we'll just have to wait and see how his involvement pans out. I hope he doesn't turn up in a pair of cowboy boots with a big belt buckle though. We could have rodeos during the ...

Re: Ex Royals

Yeah Carson was a strange one. I think he played on trial in the under 21s in the Championship relegation season, possibly even alongside Bindon, and got some good reviews. I always thought he looked pretty useful when he did play and had a wand of a left peg but I guess you never know what is going...

Re: Garcia to be sold

Garcia's developing physicality could hold him back slightly this year if he has bad growing pains etc., but it sounds like the club have that in mind and he will hopefully be managed well. There's a very good player in there and I think if we get it right, he could be another one to go for some dec...

Re: Ex Royals

He must be really good at putting cones out or something.

In fairness, I think I recall someone from Chelsea saying he's an amazing coach and they loved his sessions, but that won't always translate to management.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (a)

I only watched on telly and have only been to a few away games in the past couple of years but a lot of our supporters do seem to be completely retarded. It's all this weird posturing from young lads in either stupidly expensive or fake Stone Island and either actually taking coke or trying to make ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swindon Town (a)

I thought Fraser played well, and he looked like he wanted to impress. I think him playing in the holding role is the route to getting Wing further forward, but Noel doesn't want to do that it seems so for now he'll be restricted to the bench. Ryan was good again and I think has done enough to be at...

Re: Swindon (A) Vertu Trophy Tuesday 2nd September

I guess the police and H&S decision relates to this: https://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news/2025/august/08/club-statement--nigel-eady-county-ground/ EDIT: It must do. Further work is required at Stratton Bank to ensure it can be opened, should demand necessitate its use. The following tasks have ...

Re: RUMOUR: Reading in talks over Welcome to Wrexham style docuseries

Does feel like a bit of a damp squib without a big name behind it, Wrexham have Ryan Reynold, Brum have Tom Brady, who exactly do we have? Get Winslet or Gervais on the board. Clooney lives down the road, get him as well. Gervais doesn't give a shit about the club or football - he has not obligatio...

Re: RUMOUR: Reading in talks over Welcome to Wrexham style docuseries

The title would be 'How Rob Couhig Saved the World' or something similar I'm sure. As others have said, last season and the one before would have made a much better documentary showing a group of really likeable players battling valiantly against the odds. Either way I can't see it happening unless ...

Re: Speculationish Tyler Robert’s and Jack Marriott

Mike Kearney would be a successful example of defender to striker conversion and, to a lesser extent, Steve Hetzke. Always thought Hetzke was a better defender than striker but he did a reasonable job up front in difficult times. Converting Burns might be on a par with that. Didn't Deon Dublin go C...

Re: Ex Royals

Osho should be playing in the Championship, but Cardiff probably offered him decent terms and a real chance of going straight back up so he took a chance. Must admit I was not really aware of the situation with Ligue 1 - looks pretty scary having just read up on it.

Re: Derrick Williams - confimred

I'm not convinced we'll see Paudie this side of Christmas, and even if we do I am not sure he'll be straight into the side anyway. There is no evidence Paudie is out for that long; I was hopeful we'd see him in September. But either way, it seems we have 3 CBs at a high L1 standard which makes a ch...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

We're clearly very low on confidence and having brought in so many players, some late in the window, we're again playing catch up trying to get the right XI. Up until about when Bolton scored, I thought we were shit but I'll give the players credit for the way they kept going and got us a very decen...

Re: Derrick Williams - confimred

Very impressed with him last night. He fits in seamlessly and brings a calm to the back line - I'd certainly have him down as our number one centre half from here and Burns or Stickers can fit in nicely alongside him. The one concern about him is lack of pace, but he was only isolated once last nigh...

Re: Ex Royals

I was a bit confused as to why he didn't come back on loan and Brighton chose to let him drop down to play in their youth team when they signed him from us. He's certainly a top talent and I think he'll play in the Prem eventually. Having the chance to play lots of games at this level will be good f...

Re: Club legend.

There's got to be loads behind the scenes that we don't really know about, who have been at the club for years and always been reliable. Specific names don't really spring to mind, but I reckon anyone who was there at the start of Covid and still is now, is as much a legend as any player is. Those p...

Hopefully now with a bit more stability in the background, that's something that could change. I'm sure the club has the ability to do a few more features etc. within RoyalsTV with this new matey that's come in.

Norcott has gone on 2 months “youth” loan to Woking. He's older than I realised https://preview.redd.it/either-there-is-an-issue-with-the-way-google-is-pulling-v0-5rc5zo40xbif1.png?width=1080&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=017beb2322d97e8d8c36c9f9ad230a3adb54312b Hell of a story for Would I Lie...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

I thought it was fantastic last night. Seeing the young lads play without any pressure and lots of freedom was really good. I don't think anyone had a poor game but Ahmed was the real standout. Looks like he's our next breakout star. Also, I think Ryan needs to be starting at left-back from now on. ...
