Re: The Non - League thread

Had a visit to Wimborne’s new ground in their top of the table clash with Frome. Fantastic facilities grass pitch with an adjacent 3G pitch for training. Good youth set up to academy level. Large modern clubhouse. Attendance of 2307. Tight game finished 1-1.

Re: FA Cup Changes

All a massive overreaction. Let's be honest unless you get a big club in a replay they are massive loss makers for the majority of clubs and inconvenient for teams, players and fans. Just take our match at Eastleigh this season. We'd have had to push back the Oxford (H) match by a week to fit the r...

Re: The Non - League thread

Owing to a waterlogged pitch Plymouth Parkway are playing their home game v Swindon Supermarine at 2pm Sunday 7th April at Hungerfords Bulpit Lane. Not sure why they can’t find somewhere closer or at Supermarines ground.

Re: Refereeing

Paul, fourth official in the PL is right at the top of the tree, would we know who you were, recognise you as a league referee? I can see why there is a struggle for Sunday league referees - increasingly a cesspit for violent behaviour and abuse. No, not now. Retired. When i was doing this in the l...

Eastleigh v Reading on ITV Sunday 3rd December 1.30pm. Anyone interested to go to this may find it easier to get tickets via Eastleigh. Would involve purchasing a ticket for one of their home games v either Altrincham or Borehamwood. Details on their website.

Re: The Non - League thread

Saw Eastleigh beat a poor Borehamwood 5-1 on Saturday. They are nothing special. Chris Maguire is a decent player up front, and Paul Macallum is a natural goal scorer but he didn’t get on as he’s coming back from injury. They were fairly solid in defence and they have a good goalkeeper in McDonnell ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Went to Wembley to watch play off final. It was gripping and dramatic despite few goal attempts. Chesterfield started well and deserved their lead and defended very doggedly. Both goalkeepers were very shaky. Dallas was a livewire up front for Chesterfield whilst Bostock and the winger Nemane were b...

Re: The Non - League thread

Hungerford 1 Dulwich 1. A result which means Hungerford are relegated to the Southern Premier League. Hungerford had a player sent off early in the first half but took the lead half way through the second half. They then battered Dulwich but missed some glorious chances before conceding a late equal...

Re: The Non - League thread

It was an 1800 sell out at Corsham. 150-200 from Ascot but difficult to assess as were spread around the ground.

Re: The Non - League thread

Corsham 2 Ascot 2 (Ascot win 5-4 on pens). Was at this game, most entertaining game I’ve seen this season. Corsham really made an effort to get the game on. They had thought it was going to be postponed but had hired in a super sopper to dry out the pitch and it was perfectly playable if heavy under...

Re: The Non - League thread

Weymouth 2 Hungerford 5. Both sides will probably go down. Weymouth were pretty shocking at the back but having conceded 2 early goals got back to 2-2 after half time and looked like they were going to win but having conceded a 3rd they completely collapsed thereafter. Unfortunately Hungerford were...

Re: The Non - League thread

Tried to work out the runners and riders for National League South for next season. Currently there are 21 teams with 2 promoted one-off whom is Maidstone and 1 relegated either Billericay or Welling. With the league expanding to 24 teams there will be 6 new faces. Dover and Weymouth from NL. Taunto...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Watched Hungerford v Welling, in goal for Welling was Coniah Boyce-Clarke. He was man of the match. His handling and agility was exceptional. His kicking was a little ropey but that could be down to the bumpy pitch. Have seen a number of youth team keepers at Bulpit Lane and he looked different class.
