Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

I have had a banner made I hoping to get displayed at our Wolves game next Monday which is on TV. I don't know how to upload an image but it says Brighton Fans want Dia Yongge out Save Reading FC Fans United It's a small gesture but I hope that if they see fans of other clubs care, it may help.

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

I fear it won't happen to us. The key with Brighton is that the owner sold, while our owner is lying to us when he says he will. Bury's owner rejected several offers before it ended; he lost out big time and tried to sue the EFL for their expulsion, to no avail. It's great what Brighton have done a...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

.... As my username suggests I am a Brighton fan. I happen to live in Reading. In 1996 after hearing that our ground was to be sold (asset stripping) leaving us with nowhere to play, (Edited for brevity) Hi Ozzygull - don't worry, I know all about your struggles (and was personally involved in quit...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Can't see what an abandonment will actually achieve, except an FA fine and a points deduction (presumably suspended). Because of precedent, there's no way the FA & FL can let this go unpunished, no matter how deep the emotions. IMHO it would have been much more effective and impressive to go on...

Re: Selles confimred

By all accounts; did well or as well as could be expected in big games but crap against the poorer teams. As the league is filled with 16 teams we “should” (lol) be beating I’m not sure how that bodes tbh. If we have enough quality to dispatch the smaller clubs and Selles can outmanoeuvre the bigge...

Re: Selles confimred

I think he could a good signing for you. We played his Southampton side last season, and it was a game that confirmed our place in Europe. Southampton had already been relegated so had nothing to play for. They were denied a equalizer to make it two - two by the tiniest of margins by VAR. if it had ...

Re: Do the people of Reading care?

Well I have always had soft spot for Brighton as my mum came from West Sussex and remember going to the Goldstone when Peter Ward was scoring for fun. I only wish we were half as well run as them. But as mentioned they have been through the mire, playing at Gillingham and then Withdean. And look at...

Re: Do the people of Reading care?

I hope you don't mind me posting as a Brighton fan who lives in Reading. Where I worked I knew two genuine Reading fans and one that jumped on the band wagon when you got promoted to the Premier League. But there was more Manchester Untited, Arsenal, Spurs and me who got the most stick because I sup...
