Re: *** EXTRA Fans' Forum - Weds 25th Nov ***

We want it to be more of a conversation than what we usually have, which is much more ofa "press confeence." So we're going to use what is known as a "goldfish bowl" format. We have a circle of chairs in the middle (the "bowl") and anyone can join that circle, with the ...

*** EXTRA Fans' Forum - Weds 25th Nov ***

We're running another Fans' Forum next week - in the Royals Suite (not the Princess Suite) at the MadStad on Weds 25th November, staring at 7.30 pm (not 8 pm as usual). This will be a bit different to the usual type - a lot less formal than usual, with no "press conference" stylee top tabl...

Re: Petition for Sunderland Supporters

What if the fan punches a steward, and there is evidence, but neither the steward, club or police are interested in pressing charges because there was no injury caused? It's clear the offence has been committed, but according to this (s)he can carry on going to games happy as larry until a convicti...

Re: Petition for Sunderland Supporters

Some of the comments raised in my post are still valid - Would STAR back supporters claims of innocence up until such a time that they were found guilty in a court of law or charged with an offence or would they take they support he clubs judgement or even have their own jury? e.g. Reading fan bann...

Re: Car Park

Do RFC have a car park policy to hold cars back that they can enforce every game to allow to fans leave the Mad Stad whether there be 5,500 fans or 16,000 + in attendance? It appears that they don't as car were allowed to move freely in / out last night at the end of the game. FANS SAFTEY first ple...

Re: Petition for Sunderland Supporters

Please sign this - even if you think it's nothing to do with us here, this sends a message to clubs and to the football authorities about the importance of due process and the rights of supporters not to be banned when they've not been found guilty of any offence. Why does the petition site email S...

Petition for Sunderland Supporters

A number of Sunderland supporters have been banned from Sunderland despite so far being not found guilty of any offence - and in all likelihood they will be not be found guilty and maybe not even get to court. The FSF has launched a petition to be presented to Sunderland Chairman Niall Quinn - the s...

Re: Egg Chasers email

I got this too - I've never shared my email address with London Irish. Looks like someone at RFC is playing a bit fast and loose with my data. STAR? Categorically not, no. May just be a cock-up - the London Irish CRM system is the same as the RFC CRM system, so I'd not be too surprised if someone j...

Re: RTG

I was going to mention this. I don't think STAR should give their opinions under the STAR banner, she should have just been spoken to Andrew Pearce under her own name - as what a STAR board member thinks of the current situation is not representative of the supporters as a whole. Hmmmm, I'd say tha...

Re: Fans' Forum

At time of writing we have over 40 questions submitted, including ones on all of those topics, as well as on specific players. We probably won't have enough time to ask all of them - as well as having questiosn from the floor - but certainly we will make sure that several of the questions on each to...

Re: Fans' Forum

No worries. It starts at 8 pm with the STAR AGM (a legal necessity that takes less than half an hour), and the Fans' Forum starts immediatley after that. It's STAR members only but anyone can join on the night, so allow a few minutes for the paperwork - alternatively, speed the process up by downloa...

Y25 Will BR still be there tomorrow?

Absolutely.

Y25 Would be interesting to get Nicky Hammond along as well.

There's a very outside chance of that happening but I'd not count on it.

Re: STAR AGM on Thursday

winchester_royal Recent developments should make this a bit more lively.

Qustions you'd like BR to be asked info@star-reading.org, please.

And just to point out that the STAR AGM is just a brief and minor part of the evening - as soon a that's done we're into the Fans' Forum for the rest of the evening.

Re: The Great Bus Rip Off

why should a fan have to find a different bus company, he has come to the STAR section of HNA to ask if perhaps STAR could get involved, yet once again gets the old response, why not join and help as we cannot do it alone, and we cannot peruse HNA to see if something is posted on here. Perhaps he/s...

Re: The Great Bus Rip Off

It's not a surprize really. More I think something should be done They have got away with it for 2 long. How much are the rugby buses? Does STAR have any opinion on this? STAR will certainly investigate it, but there aren't enough of us to be able to spend all our time pro-catively monitoring Hobno...
