Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by Jack Witham

Thought we were crying out for a bit of width and pace on the flanks last night although Richards did well.

A Little, a Convey, or a Kebe, would have caused a bit of panic in their defence at least.

Re: Rival Watch

Rax Have to say, it's really LOLz a minute watching Derby - the BBC have their heads so far up Rodney's rear end that it's comical when it invariably goes Pete Tong!

Yes, what a plonker.

Re: BFS - Bristol City (H)

Did anyone notice that the commentator on Sky seemed very knowledgeable about our players and dare I say it, a little enthusiastic about us. Tbf he’d probably just done his homework and was pleased to have an exciting game to commentate on but noticeable from the usual negativity we get.

Re: BFS - Bristol City (H)

Big shout out to Miete as well for his part in Jaoa’s goal. One of my mates had just texted me to say he looked tired and the next minute he hares up the wing riding challenges and lays on a great ball.

Re: BFTT Bournemouth

Seen a few criticisms of Moore's part in their fourth goal. Don't think he was at fault really. Only thing you could say is that he should have ignored Cabral and hoofed it into the stand but then everyone would have asked why he did that. Think he was right to stand back a bit once the keeper was o...

Weird. So you’re objecting to the likes of Laurent Blanc, Giorgio Chiellini, David Alaba, Paolo Maldini, Frank de Boer, Daniel Passarella, Aymeric Laporte, Marcel Desailly, Ruud Krol, Gabriel Magalhaes, Marco Materazzi, Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, Jan Vertonghen, Lucas Hernandez, Daniel Agger, ...

I'm not a big fan of left footed centre backs to be honest. Weird. Re: Back from whatever that was.

McIntyre is a good player, but you can't expose him to pace. Next to Morrison and with Richards forward and Laurent/Rino not covering he'll be in trouble with a high line. Play to his weaknesses it's an issue, play to his strengths it's not. Gibson looked like he was in tears at the end. Good playe...

Re: What has changed so much from last season?

Joao is fit Olise is better Laurent brings balance to midfield We have depth in midfield with Semedo Aluko isn't a complete waste of space Richards has improved Moore is better The manager has changed - I don't think for one minute we'd be doing this well under Bowen, although no one thinks they'd ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Somewhat a refreshing thread instead of the usual in the pre match Blackburn forum(so far). Seem to think they’re in for a difficult game https://www.brfcs.com/mb/index.php?/forums/topic/34653-rovers-vs-reading-at-virtual-ewood/ Not sure how we’re flat track bullies if we’re the only team to have b...

Was greatly looking forward to the game on the red button last night as can't be arsed with new fangled stuff like ibookchat or whatever it is. Having read all the reports of our other games beforehand and interviews with players etc I had been struck by the new energy, never say die, we'll fight to...

Re: Your first game watching Reading FC

I don't remember (fully) my first game, but I remember the end of Bullivant's last game, when there was a pitch invasion and people were calling for him to be sacked. What year was this? I also remember (partially) a Boxing Day Game against West Brom (or maybe it was the Wolves) at Elm Park. It was...

Re: Your first game watching Reading FC

First game would have been Arsenal v Southampton at Highbury with the likes of Terry Paine, Peter Storey, George Armstrong playing. Think Arsenal won 3-0.

First game at Elm Park against Doncaster around 1971/2. Think we won 2-0 or lost 0-2, can't remember which.

The club and the agent will know full well that anything on social media gets picked up by the mainstream press and is sometimes in the club's interest to amplify. Black ops cannot be ruled out here. . I have to admit that Eddie’s ex-CIA background has made me rather suspicious. Before the Chronicl...

I'd be surprised if the sort of information the poster is supplying does not have the approval, tacit or otherwise, of the club or at the very least an agent working within the club. The club and the agent will know full well that anything on social media gets picked up by the mainstream press and i...

Portsmouth probably as used to live there or Chelsea as supported them in 1970 when they won the FA Cup and Cup Winners Cup. Liked the kit with the stripe down the shorts.
