Re: BFTG Charlton (H)

Surprised at people not seeing how poor Piazon was. For me as soon as he gets the ball, it slows down play. He takes too many touches, tries to be too clever and still doesn't seem to grasp the speed of the Championship. Lost count the number of times he wasted possession in a good position on Satu...

Re: 14th minute today

Whilst sad that a young lad can lose his life so early, I don't really think anything should be done. I'm sick of all these tributes that are finding their way into the modern game, it seems we have a minute silence every week. If you start doing this, why not just have a minutes applause every-tim...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2014/15

Great for the U21s but I was puzzled by this remark by Martin Kuhl after the Spurs game. He said - “We’re not ‘supposed to’ be top of the U21 Premier League because we’ve got a different badge on our shirts to the big clubs". Did he literally mean a different badge or was he simply referring t...

Pearce to get a place on the bench as Baird is injured, his inside Reading knowledge is bound to be a help to Derby as he knows Gunts, Obita, Norwood and Blackman from last season,

He won't know Blackman, Different player from previous seasons :D

Re: Is Vydra the missing link?

No doubt that he's an excellent player, probably the best we've had since Gylfi left (assuming he maintains these performance levels better than Drenthe did) but I don't think he made the difference on Friday. We would still have won comfortably with Robson-Kanu on the left. The big difference was ...

Re: Back from the sofa

3 very loyal servants to the club - let's see how many of the new faces are still here in 5 years time, let alone 10 !! They were 'loyal' because they were paid vast sums of money to be 'loyal' and no other teams were willing to pay them more! All 3 were offered new deals in the summer on significa...

Ferdinand not been mentioned! I thought he was quality again tonight. What a pleasure to see our centre backs looking so comfortable with the ball at their feet.

Re: Ipswich (H) Prediction Thread

4-2 to Reading. First goal comes from Piazon in the 6th minute, after a fairly even start to the game. A powerful run through the middle, with a snapshot at the end of it, sailing past the goalkeeper's left hand slide into the bottom right hand corner. Equaliser to come in the 34th minute, through ...

Re: RUMOUR - Michael Hector to Palace

Agree with Hoops that this is about the right price. Unfortunately for us with signings like McShane and Ferdinand, 2 players somewhere between Championship and Premier League standard and in the case of Ferdinand now too old/injury-prone for the Premier League,it looks as though we are building a ...

Re: Roundup

If you look at the majority of clubs in the Championship though, they are all pretty much in the same position as we are...ie taking a risk! The squad needed an overhaul and the players we now have are a definite improvement on what we did have, once you take out all of the rose tinted nostalgic vi...

leicsRoyal Has Jose leant us Hector back and said 'Can you find a nice place on the bench for him all season?'

This is the worry, they have something written in that forces us to play him and break up the McShane-Ferdinand partnership.

Hector can play right back, I'd put him there.

In defence of this thread there are loads of pricks on here who have already written off certain players already 5 games in!! So based on that its a fair question.

Re: Summer Rebuild

Not really sure of your point here... I don't see that as a manager/club problem. If the managerplays with no wingers or row z defenders It's a problem for those players, if they can't adapt into a different type of player they get shipped out? Surely this goes on all the time without repercussions...
