Re: Euro 2020

Those two Belgian goals are the best of the tournament so far.

That Danish dive deserved such a riposte.

1970 here.

Watched England, remember every match, even though I was only 9.

I even remember the Bobby Moore shoplifting episode.

Re: Euro 2020

Lukaku has played a fantastic centre forward role, best performance I have seen for a long time in that position ( not just his goals).

Meunier, on as an early sub, has been fantastic ( also scored).

Eden Hazard, a late sub, has just had a couple of amazing runs.

Re: Euro 2020

I thought Italy were good too. All we can go on is that Turkey were considered solid opponents and they were outclassed tonight.

Pleased for Italy, after a poor decade

Re: Lockdown losses

Well the fans don't make clubs profitable, foreign billionaires pumping in unsustainable in the long term sums do. It's been this way for a while. You do realise you're responding to a message posted over a year ago? Well this is awkward. this whole thread proves you are not really cut out for Club...

Re: Brentford (H) v Swansea (A) - Championship Play Off Final

I remember us going three nil down to Swansea in 2011 (?) pretty quickly. 20 minutes iirc.

Deflation.

We pulled it back to 3-2, Karacan hit the post and the rest is history.

(we lost 4-2)

Re: Champions League/Europa League 2020/21

Brilliant performance from Chelsea and no-one in the team it’s easy to dislike which is unusual! grudging agreed. Indeed their players are more likeable than those of Man City. I just wanted a good game, a showcase final. One nil sounds dour, but I quite enjoyed the match. Pleased to see there were...

Re: Brentford Play Off losses.

I think Leeds and Ipswich too.

I do like Brentford and wish them every success at Wembley and next season, but, more pettiness from me, I sort of want them to keep their worse-than-us play-off record intact.

Re: Who do you WANT to win the play-offs?

Ah, football fans. Why would we want local teams in our division? Because then we get to play local derbies. Which is great. Genuinely perplexes me that grown men will go their graves 'happy' that 'the Swindon scum' (or whatever) have been put in their place. It's just football. I'd sooner be playi...

Re: Who do you WANT to win the play-offs?

Being based in North Wales, purely selfishly I would like Blackpool to come up for a trip to the Vegas of the North, assuming we will be able to by then, so I am pleased with the result. I am not sure why anyone would want Oxford to go up. I get the local rivalry aspect, and while the joys of skirm...

Great goal by Bryan for Fulham.

They’d be mad not to sign him.
