"Safe standing" areas are not going to happen, clubs have spent millions on stadia and will not spend more. It's all down to each club to manage their home and away fans. POLL Do you want to stand or sit? United will be 95% standing for aways, so stand it is. Warning when selling ticket, y...

Huntley & Palmer Win against Liverpool at the weekend Gazzer?

It will be 2-1, last minute winner.

Which side gets the last minute winner I do not know.

The home bit, obviously. I was shocked with seeing how many seats there were empty, I had a load of freebies west upper and only managed to get one person tag along, mind you it was cold and 'only boro'

still plenty more than the odd 1 or 2 I'd say.

Royal Lady Kitson and one other first teamer are signing the new calendar at the megastore tomorrow night. Will this go ahead?

As long as STAR don't try to muscle in, it should be fine.

Dirk Gently
It's noticeable that the West half of the South stand didn't have any gaps in at all - the spaces were sporadically around the ST areas, with a great big gap in the away area, of course.

I could see lots of empty in south stand from my west upper view

If strength in depth is one of the pre-requisites to success in the PL these days, would anyone dispute the fact that after Arsenal's Reserves slaughtered Newcastle, and Man Utd's Reserves were humiliated by Coventry this week, that things are looking better and better for the Gunners? I would disp...

When tickets sell out is very relevent if the argument is about the level of demand. Clearly, the sooner they sell out, the higher the level of demand. Spot on United v Liverpool will sell out in minutes. United v Reading didn't. Yet there will still be the same number of United fans in the ground....

Right. I'm off. My final thoughts though are still that you were a tad fortunate to get a point, and that ultimately wasted chances and poor finishing cost us all 3.

Imagine if United played Barcelona in the Champions League semi final, they win the first leg at Old Trafford 1-0 and then go to Barca and play like Reading did on Sunday and achieve the 0-0 they need. I suspect the Man Utd forum contributors would be w@nking themselves silly over a Fergie defensiv...

their performance was not good enough (in particular in front of goal) and they got no more or less than they deserved Maybe we are getting there, and that's a valid point. We were shit in-front of goal so maybe we didn't deserve the win. To say though that it was down to good defending is still wa...

papereyes
Scholes' header as well. That was a decent chance.

Can we swap that with Evra's blast wide?

It's OK, I've also added Brown's free header from the corner, I'd say he looked like scoring then, great defending though to allow him a free header so actually thinking about it...

Behindu United seem to have spent a lot of money on not improving their team.

And how many of those new signings started yesterday?

It's obviously differing views, United forums slating you and can't believe your luck while you all seem to think the plan to defend, and only let us have 23 shots, worked quite well. That's a shot every 4 minutes so I guess your defending was actually quite good. Anyhow, at least it was only a han...

papereyes Likewise Duberry on Rooney.

Allow him a free shot from 6 yards (which he should have scored, but saying that it was probably good defending) and then stamp on his foot.

Top defending

We designed a tactical system that you failed to effectively breakdown and got a point. Some days the ball just won't go in the net, yesterday was one of those days. You were outclassed, out played, out performed in every department. To try and convince yourself the point was as a result of a...

The harsh reality for you Mr Mann is that you failed to score against a frankly, quite lacklustre Reading performance. That says more about the "great" Sir Alex and his players than it does about us. It says much more about how lucky you were. If you think any different you are deluded. I...
