Re: Rival Watch

Norwich have won 15 games , but only two by more than one goal, and they were both by a two goal margin, I think it was the same last time they went up, that's why they will come straight back down again if they go up. Reckon they can spend more this time? They have the money from one PL season, tr...

Whatever, but from a very promising beginning with Cardiff to an expensive move to Spurs who fairly quickly shifted him out to Forest who then took £2 million off us, clapping their hands with glee to doing his bit in getting us relegated from the Premier League to not being good enough for The Cha...

Re: Olise being sold for £8m?

Well Michael’s saying the right things and basically I don’t think he’ll go be going anywhere this month other than for a weekend in Preston. https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/reading-michael-olise-transfer-latest-19634521 Also, if there is no bid this month from the host of...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Coventry City (h)

yes that'd be my team as well. Would consider Pendlebury on the bench as thought he looked good. Also Gibson should be back, so him on the bench for Bristow Probably a choice between Tetek and Pendlebury, hard to see them both making the bench. Up to now the selections on the bench is irrelevant as...

Re: Injury watch 2020/21

Zip According to Jnr Puscas is in Munich seeing a doctor. I’d be surprised if he is in the squad for the Coventry game.

Possibly been sent to negotiate a contract for Omar Richards?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Coventry City (h)

I suppose as usual the two talking points are who plays RB and who plays RW. Logic would say it’s likely to be Holmes and Olise, but my preference is filling positions with players that play there as their first choice Therefore would go with: Rafael Esteves Morrison McIntyre Richards Laurent Rinom...

Re: Rival Watch

Whats crazy is that 5 years ago, they had one of the lowest wage bills as a percentage of revenue in the Championship. That is crazy - they’ve been one of the highest transfer spenders in the league for a long time. In 2015-16 they spent £24m and added big free transfers like Darren Bent, Chris Bai...

Re: Ex Players

12/14 here too. I don’t believe the Rasiak fee they have. Transfer market have it at £1.6m, it I think that’s a bit on the high side as well. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/grzegorz-rasiak/transfers/spieler/15242/transfer_id/337093 My guess is that maybe transfermarkt have the price recorded in Eu...

Re: Rumour - Richards to Everton

We might lose McIntyre if he doesn’t get game time. He was agitating for a loan earlier in the season. Think he genuinely wants to be a professional footballer and would drop down a level if it increased his game time. Yes he’s a Reading fan but he’s also very driven and wants to have a proper caree...

Re: Brentford game postponed

The only other option is to cancel the Euros which is pretty drastic. Clearly hindsight is a wonderful thing...but holding the EUROS over 12 countries doesn't feel right what with the global pandemic. I assume it is too late to ask one country to host it ? Not sure I would say it is hindsight - it’...

Zip It’s been a rough time for Cardiff City with Sala dying in that awful plane crash and the sad demise of Peter Whittingham. Here’s hoping Sol Bambs Beats this and makes a full recovery.

Stephen McPhail as well.

Re: Brentford game postponed

Good observation regarding shifting the Euros to next summer with the World Cup Finals not taking place until very late in the Autumn. That summer is already shorter than normal to make room for the World Cup. Players already had to play through last summer. If we make them play through this summer...

Re: Brentford game postponed

If there was a League suspension it would be nigh on impossible for some teams to fulfil fixtures by end May. In the National League the season finishes later the EFL but even allowing for that Dover still have 36 League games to play. If the leagues were suspended then the Euros might need to be m...

Re: Brentford game postponed

Need to start making teams forfeit fixtures that they don’t fulfil. It’s not fair but it is better than the alternative. It should have been the case all season. If that did happen and postponements were for Covid reasons and there were no obvious breaches of regulations by the club concerned then ...

Re: Rumour - Richards to Everton

Almost. There is a FIFA equivalent for cross-border transfers. We would be owed €450,000 if Richards signed for Munich, while Fulham would be owed €270,000. We would also be entitled to a share of 5% of any future international transfers, again split with Fulham. So did/will we get this for Danny L...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

I’m really impressed with Melvin-Lambert’s movement for his last gasp chance. It was brilliant and caught the defenders off guard, with a bit more experience he’d finish that. I see the potential in him. Yep, he doesn’t seem to be the most mobile but shows some of the instincts of an old-fashioned ...
