Re: BTFG Rrro-therrr-hhaaam

Morrison immense once again. Tempted to give the guy a 10 for his performance in the first half. Rinomhota and Laurent - I’d need to watch some matches back, but my suspicion is that most of their best work is all about positioning, slowing down attacks and pushing them wide rather than directly win...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by a James Harper debut

Poor first half but we defended very well (particularly Moore and Morrison). Much better in the second half - we just had that bit extra. Shame neither Olise nor Esteves scored with those shots - fantastic efforts. Rotherham just didn’t have enough. They were the better side until we scored but didn...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by a James Harper debut

I’m sure there’s a clever way of displaying it, but here’s how I’d prioritise our attacking midfield options. Pick three from the list, lowest number plays in the middle and the other two play wide. 1. Semedo 2. Swift 3. Aluko 4. Ejaria 5. Olise 6. Baldock 7. Meite This isn’t selection order, just a...

SCIAG Think we’re in for a stuffing. 2-0, 3-0, possibly even 8-0.

If we lost 0-8 that would be embarrassing

It would be fine. Just accept that it is inevitable. No need to be embarrassed if we don’t get our hopes up.

Snowball Reading "Humble Pi" by Matt Parker, all about math errors

Fair bit on birthdays and who is how old. Good stuff.

It's often about is zero a number?

I like this one. A man starts work at 8AM, has floors 8-12 to clean, so thinks one hour, one floor, right?

I don’t get it.

Re: Swift to... Southampton

Norwood would be a big upgrade on Swift or Laurent for sure. Ironically I remember thinking Swift was such an upgrade on Norwood. This was like 8 games into his first season mind... Swift (particularly when we first signed him) and Norwood are very different players. Swift is an extremely creative ...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

morganb Also, why don't the U23s etc. find a non-gambling shirt sponsor?

The value would be trivial due to low crowds and a lack of television coverage.

Nameless How have the first team got away with it ?

Have we fielded an under 18 since we’ve had the sponsor?

Yes, Michael Olise last season and Dejan Tetek, Nahum Melvin-Lambert, and Lynford Sackey this season

Think fourth or fifth tier is probably his level atm. Cambridge was much better than his League One but 1 in 4 is not great. Hope it goes well.

Pepe the Horseman They've just signed Colin Kazim-Richards, for some reason.

To be fair, that 1 goal he scored for Sheff U was class

I might be missing the joke but he scored an excellent goal for Brighton against us in a 5-1 defeat.

Re: Swift to... Southampton

I would love to swap places with them this season and just make derisory offers for all their players. Looking possible. Who in their team would you go for though? I can't think off hand any particular stars. They're more of a well oiled, tight knit group of players, to me at least, rather than out...

WestYorksRoyal Rumour we're in discussion with Rajiv Van La Parra on loan. Sounds realistic and would be a useful addition.

After what happened with his cousin?

His half-brother is a good player though.

Watson doesn’t get picked when we have no fit right backs.

East is behind Watson in the midfield pecking order.

Smith, just lol. Seems to be seventh choice in a side that uses one striker.

Re: Liam Moore is 27!

He's been distinctly hit and miss for more than last season. Wonder how much of it was career frustration. Having been at Leicester who go on to win the PL after he left (is that the right timeline?) With the aim of getting promoted with Reading and playing in the PL, instead he's been at a shamble...
