Re: Adam Federici - Still going strong

Millsy Sorry Pearce was overrated, slow and sh*t.

Feds was ok, not much more.

And yet with those two playing every week we got promoted with a low-scoring side.

Re: Current team v. 2005 team

‘Greed on taking Yiadom over Murts. That was a special team but Murty was the most ordinary member. Then we’re left with: Marcus vs Rafael - Marcus every day Sonko vs Morrison - Morrison is a better footballer but Sonko was a colossus and some of the things he did were incredible. Ingimarsson vs McI...

Re: Adam Federici - Still going strong

I think people have a tendency with Feds to judge him on the small number of mistakes rather than the many many matches where he didn’t make a mistake. He played an absolutely huge role in McDermott’s promotion for example. Kept 20 clean sheets that season, the most in the league - more than Kasper ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h)

Brentford fans laughing at Karbota on their messageboard. What they don’t realise is that we laugh at him too. I’m guessing Brentford must have several black and/or foreign defenders? On that note it’s actually a little bit weird how British our team is. We usually pick eight or nine players who ar...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h)

Does feel more a game for Meite than Olise and think that will be the case with him starting. Think Henry at LB would feel less comfortable against him and Brentford have conceded a couple of very poor goals from crosses recently - so one area to target with Meite Would keep Holmes starting for sim...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a)

3) McClean runs Knockeart very close for being the biggest c*nt in world football. He isn't a footballer he's an escapee from Broadmoor. Neil Warnock is still in world football. As are Tyrone Mings and Billy Sharp and Jose Mourinho and John Terry. And that’s before we get onto people who haven’t do...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a)

Stoke comfortably the better side. The experience of their midfield just suffocated our play. They had the better chances without much quality in the final third. Terrible game.

Happy to keep it at 0-0 until 70 minutes if need be. We’ve got Meite to come off the bench for an impact.

Re: Rival Watch

Don't want to disagree (because ,like you, I would like those results to happen)but as far as the bookies are concerned Stoke are favourites to beat us ( we are 2/1) as are Brentford next week (we are around 5/2) so the double for us to beat both Stoke and Brentford is 9.5/1. Am not predicting anyt...

Re: Paul Canoville get well soon

Didn't know anything about him. I see he was Chelsea's first black player and it was as late as 1981!?? 9 years after Alleyne    Hope he pulls through, get well soon Paul! Played for us 1986-88 during the two second tier seasons under Ian Branfoot. cost around £60,000 I believe...

Re: January window

What about teams playing in Europe? For example Liverpool looking to take someone from Bayern with both teams still in Champions League. Would there still be a conflict there, although I guess the chances of playing someone is pretty low given the random nature of the draw etc... Arguably yes, alth...

Re: January window

I think it does, but I am not 100% sure. It does. It is a right guaranteed by the Bosman ruling. It only applies to international transfers as those are regulated by FIFA. Domestic transfers are regulated by the FA, who in this country restrict them to one month in order to reduce conflicts of inte...

Re: Best player you've ever seen play against us

LightwaterRoyal Santi Cazorla in the 7-5.
John Carew when we lost the quarter final to Villa.

Cazorla was unstoppable in that match... because he didn’t play. He scored a hat-trick in the league fixture. Theo Walcott was MOTM in the cup game.

Also, does the pre-contract agreement thing exist the other way round as in can we approach players outside England who are in their last 6 months? I think it does, but I am not 100% sure. It does. It is a right guaranteed by the Bosman ruling. It only applies to international transfers as those ar...

Shaka came from US college system.

Bit of a sweeping statement.

I’m guesssing the Johnsonian nature of the comment needs to be taken into account.

Danny Williams was a decent player as well...

5 foot 7 22 year old winger (23 in March) who can play either side as well as through the middle. Looks reasonably quick. Re: Tom Mc - Scotland

Fair question given that we had Jordan Holsgrove around the youth set up which is equally ludicrous at first glance. Scotland have a lot of Championship level centre backs but no really impressive players. They’ve used the likes of Scott McTominay and Kieran Tierney at centre back in recent matches ...
