Re: Liam Moore is 27!

Only finding out a player’s age after four years is pretty poor, no way around it. But there’s still a good thread in here about his potential resurgence after a disappointing season last time round. He should still have many good years of service in him.

Re: Rumour - Joseph Nkwonta

How many success stories involve a back story of being rejected by various academies for being "too small"? Ebere Eze I believe is one. Charlie Austin is one we let go too. On the flip side, I imagine in most cases the academy doing the releasing are proven right, we just don't hear about...

Re: @EddieRFC7 Twitter

The club and the agent will know full well that anything on social media gets picked up by the mainstream press and is sometimes in the club's interest to amplify. Black ops cannot be ruled out here. . I have to admit that Eddie’s ex-CIA background has made me rather suspicious. Before the Chronicl...

Re: Rumour - Umaro Embalo and Goncalo Borges

I’d like to think he wouldn’t be on that much, he was signed as a young player from Birmingham and I don’t think he’s had an extension. Might be comparable to our top earners? Maybe that’s naive.

Re: Rumour: Joel Latibeaudiere

According to the latest bits I’ve seen it’s between Reading and Norwich with interest from Championship clubs have apparently dropped away. However Norwich have denied they’re in talks and their local paper mentions Farke’s interest in Arsenal’s William Saliba as well as the possibility of Norwich ...

Re: Rumour: Joel Latibeaudiere

Intruiged by these "3 perm RBs". We've got Yiadom who spends half the season injured, we've got Araruna who's a CM, we've got Holmes who's a CB and we've got Watson who's not done anything for 2 years, who saw a 20y/o CB picked ahead of him at RB and who's OOC next summer. I'm inclined to...

Re: Rumour: Joel Latibeaudiere

Everton must already be pissed off that we signed Gibson only for him to seemingly be fourth or even fifth choice, imagine if we signed another young centre back and pushed him even further down. I would support this if and only if he is a better option than Moore or Morrison. Otherwise frankly it’s...

Re: Spaculation - jack wilshere

Obviously a bloody good player on his day but not sure how he’d fit in with our side. Strikes me as a fairly similar player to Swift (including all the injuries) He plays in a more withdrawn role, more about pulling the strings than scoring or creating. For example, in his whole Arsenal career he s...

Re: Marc McNulty arrested for match fixing

 McNulty was playing at a higher level than Doyle and Long. You never know how they are gonna turn out before you sign them. Shorey and Kitson were both in the 4th flight when we signed them as well. I'm suprised that McNulty didnt get more of a chance tbh. Recently Reading have been like the ...

Re: Sone Aluko

There are very few Reading players I’d extend anything remotely resembling hate towards.

I find Aluko professionally disappointing, but I have no personal animosity towards him.

As others have said, he seems to be in good form. Years of mediocrity don’t matter if your last performance was good.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

A team with Sarr, Deulofeu, Hughes and Cleverley creating the chances shouldn’t have much problem at this level. It might be harder than they expect but top 6 is very realistic.

Michail "i am not good as Kebe, even now" Antonio" did ok yesterday. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Can't remember many moaning when he was sold though and from memory we got quite a decent sell on clause for the time Yep, selling him and getting McCleary on a free was one of the be...

Re: BFT Watford

Rafael 7 - solid, commanded the area well, not really forced into many saves Holmes 7 - a useful presence and very tidy, but clearly out of position and was struggling for the last ten minutes or so. Think Watson should get the nod next time out. Morrison 7 - his usual self, very solid, got to all t...
