Re: Berks and Bucks Senior Cup 2024/5

There seems to be some Oxfordshire teams in the draw, don't they have their own Cup ? They aren’t Oxfordshire teams. They are from the historic county of Berkshire and have probably played in the B&B for decades. The B&B FA are based in Abingdon…..there remit covers not only B&B but als...

Re: CONFRIMED: Takeover collapsed; Back to square one

Donald Trump has put in a bid of £100m It's the only way he can make himself a life President  Frankly what is happening to our soccer club is terrible. Many people have come up to me, big guys wearing XL fleeces, tears in their eyes. They're saying thank you Mr Trump for saving us from the J...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (a)

South Coast Royal the bloke was a twat and he needs to grow up if he is going to have a career as a pro footballer.

I'm disappointed with him but this is heavily overselling it.

Hardly a threat when they don't even play in the same division.

Should be more than OK covering RB with Yiadom out given that the "senior" outfield defenders at the club are Abrefa (RB) Garcia (RB) Bindon (CB) Mbengue (CB) Osho (RB) Dorsett (CB) Kanu (CB) Dean (CB) Rushesha (RB) Yiadom (RB) (now out until mid January) Think John Ryan is the only actua...

Sebastian the Red If we played "It was 2.45 the place was alive" these days, we'd be sued for fraud.

"SCL sound" might get us sued by Paul Simon for copyright infringement.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Next up for the Royals is a return to PL 2 action on Monday 30th September with an away match to Everton KO 7pm. The match is being played at Southport FC’s Big Help stadium in Haig Ave Southport. No stream as there is a PL match on that night. PL rightly making the decision to ensure that no Bourn...

Not gonna be too harsh on something some fan whipped up for a bit of fun, but I do think it lacks charm.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

And if we'd done it from the start of his tenure rather than just when the FL forced us to, we'd have likely had more success than bringing in deadbeat shite for too much. I do wonder what would've happened. The 2014-15 season sticks in my mind (albeit before Dai and EFL sanctions). We started that...

Re: How hard is running a football club?

Let's imagine a world where every football club is competently run. In theory that means at our level you have a 3/24 (1 in 8 ) chance of going up, and a 4/24 (1 in 6) chance of going down. I think you're confusing running a club competently with all clubs being competitive. Reading, for example if...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Looks like around 350 sold so far. I imagine it will improve the closer we get to the game. The EFL Trophy games that have little risk of selling out tend to have a late rush of ticket sales and people may realise the game is taking place fairly late too. Would be good to get to at least 500 in. I ...

Elm Park Kid I used to be ITK.
But then they changed what ITK was.
And now what I know isn't ITK.
And what's ITK seems weird and scary to me.
And it'll happen . . . . to. . . . YOU!

No way man. I’m gonna be ITK forever… forever… forever…

Re: its time NOW for boycott and to support your local non league club

support your local team, they need the money and support more then our soulless team there are plenty of teams about that can see the benefit of this and actually care about the fans Reading FC will be a non league club soon so we can carry on supporting them. And get plenty of local derbies in the...

Re: its time NOW for boycott and to support your local non league club

Firstly, why is it the time for a boycott?

Secondly... I don't really care about non-league football. I care about Reading. If for some reason I couldn't watch Reading then my next priority would be quality football.

We had plenty of foreign players under Brian. Gorkss, Kebe, Federici, Harte, Hunt, Afobe, Gunnarsson etc. Not sure that nationality of players comes into it.

Afobe was Dagenham born and raised.
