Re: What the papers say: Barnsley

JC Why are all the reports saying McAnuff crossed the ball for Jimmys goal?

They even said it ws McAnuff on The Championship TV programme on BBC, even though the TV footage quite clearly showed it was HRK crossing the ball :|

Re: The countdown to Ian Harte scoring 10+ league goals

Woodcote Royal A situation that will be interesting to watch indeed. I think McD would like to keep Harte on the pitch. Could Pearce be about to slip further down the pecking order at centre half?

Yes please.

Re: Back from the Game - Barnsley

Kebe is working voodoo magic out on the right wing and despite being double/triple marked at times, he is scoring goals and carrying the team; and yet people want to move him to the middle? :| 4-4-2 wide diamond leaves too much space in the centre of the park, especially against the current trend of...

Re: Inability to convert corners?

Despite Kebe scoring a header this weekend I would rather see Harte on the end of a corner and Kebe delivering it. In the pushing and shoving melee of a corner ball, Kebe's lightweight frame is not much use, better off having a more solidly built defender in there for me. Have the winger float the b...

Re: Inability to convert corners?

Inability to convert or indeed defend against corners is probably down the the general lack of height and physical presence in the current team. I hate short corners, they are a total waste of time, but if we could work out some sort of routine where we say play the ball to the corner of the penalty...

Re: Inability to convert corners?

Something I've picked up on before. I think we should be converting more corners.

Getting a ball above head height would definitely be a good start, though perhaps we should be practising more in training the art of attacking a corner ball as well.

"They have a real danger man in Striker A"

Said player is actually pretty rubbish, but could still outpace Alex Pearce so needs to be watched.

Re: Manager Backing?

I like Maccy D. Witha little money behind him he could assemble a team that would challenge for promotion.

He's our best option at the moment.

Re: The Defence

A good point. Our attackers have to take a share of the blame by being woefully inept up front. Scoring goals takes the pressure off of your back line, and all the time that you have possession and are sticking it in the opposition's net means the opposing team aren't doing it to you. Kebe is curren...

Re: Back from the game - Mill Wall

For next game : Pearce, Church, Cummings OUT Kish, Hunt, Griff IN This. Church is just mince, Pearce is slower than an asthmatic snail with heavy shopping. In treacle. And Cummings is like a furtive woodland creature, actually frightened of the ball when in possesion. We looked much more lively whe...

And if the Swansea Board give him their full backing, I think people will start to realise that maybe the manager was the sole cause of the problem.
