Re: Rumour - Jorge Grant

Do we need another attacking midfielder? Or are we going to cash in on Olise in Jan?

Watched him a few times for Lincoln and despite being deployed out on the left a few times my lincoln-supporting father-in-law says he’s far more effective in the middle

Re: Back from whatever that was.

Didn’t we play Miazga and Moore on their wrong sides unsuccessfully, after finishing the previous season playing them on their right sides successfully?

Re: Back from whatever that was.

Looking in the Stoke forum there were loads of comments about how deep the two central defenders sit and I think that’s part of the issue. The whole team needs to keep a much higher line as teams are finding it too easy getting the ball near the box as we sit so deep. Full backs are quick, but with...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

Can only go 2 ways now. Meite and Ejaria return for Bournemouth and the club put in a sterling performance to get something out of it, then continue in a similar fashion for Millwall, Bristol etc. Or go to Bournemouth flatter a bit but lose and then do the same at Millwall and then the wheels reall...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

Really wish Puscas or Joao would move off the ball, miles too static today Baldock came on, ran the channels and made some good runs in behind. The problem is Baldock lacks the quality to make the next step which makes his prior work slightly redundant I agree with that assessment of Baldock - he j...

Aluko got a decent shot off there...he’s been positive since he’s been on. Certainly done better than Esteves this afternoon

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

There’s no shape to the side at all now - both Olise and Baldock playing wide right. Stoke very comfortable but if you gift them 2 goals of course they are going to defend this out

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

So much for Paunovic being a genius completely changing us. Yes, it was far too early to conclude that...but some just love to believe the hype. I’ve seen enough to conclude we will have a good season in the top half though. And the injuries aren’t helping us. Never rated Cabral that highly...he’s ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

Here we go again. Terrible header from Esteves. Thought playing him higher up would help. Still managed to find a way of being a defensive liability. Exactly why I never get excited by these continental wonderkids. Does Joao want to get involved in this game? Puscas is showing some good movement to...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

I’ll reserve judgment until the game but I don’t have much confidence with that starting line up/formation. Puscas on the wing? Or 4-4-2? No idea who would play out wide out of Laurent, Rino or Semedo Wouldn’t have dropped McIntyre yet - can understand why we did but don’t think that’ll do his confi...

Re: Rival Watch

Man Bristol City have really mugged Cardiff tonight based on the stats, even when we were being super clinical it was never to that extreme. Harris should be getting a lot more out of that Cardiff squad...Hoilett, Ojo, Murphy & Wilson are all very good players at this level. Not convinced he’s ...

Re: How many Managers have you been through ?

It’s funny how 2 out of our 4 best managers since I’ve been supporting Reading, are absolutely hated by the fanbase...McGhee & Pards. Traitors but if you isolate their time at the club, they did a lot. Pards started the upwards trajectory when we were heading for the 4th tier. Curo & Butts w...

Re: Back from the pain

As pointed out, McIntyre has lots of great attributes to his game. However, speed certainly isn’t 1 of them. Which begs the question...why play a high line? Certainly the 3rd goal really exposed his lack of pace

Re: Rival Watch

Laughable goal for Watford against Stoke. Ball got smashed against the crossbar and on the line but not over, keeper grabbed it and Pedro ran into the keeper and he fell over the line in a blatent foul. The refs goal decision watch then buzzed off to say it was a goal and it counted. Vicarage Road ...

Re: Back from the pain

I did question those who said McIntyre was 1st choice over Moore in the summer. Will be big lesson for Tom tonight, I’m sure he’ll learn from it & become better.

Let’s be honest, top of the league is a tremendous return

Re: Rumour - Olise to Leeds

The bloke is far too good for us...it not a question of if he’ll go, it’s a question of when. I’ve always thought it’s best for the development of young players to stick at a club for a few seasons before moving to a club where they’ll have less game time. But we’re talking of another Gylfi here so ...

Re: BGTF Coventry

Laurent got caught out for 1st & 3rd goals...but he’s been a great player for us so no issues really Decent finishes from our front me The biggest loss is on the injuries front The leagues average at best so far this season so we’ve got enough that we’re not going to slip in the bottom half the ...
