Re: So.... Was it a foul on Shorey? *POLL*

I thought it was a fairly clear foul to be honest.

The "foul" on Tabb was never a penalty. The handball should have been, but it was too subtle to expect the referee to see that.

So basically he only makes a tackle when he's certain to get it right.

Re: Arsenal: Back from the procession

Rodallega is an interesting one, at no point did he fall behind in the pecking order at Wigan, he proved himself when he kept Wigan in the prem on two or three occasions in his time in the prem and in my opinion is technically better than anyone in our current squad. That's simply not true. As I sa...

I think we should wait for this to all blow over. I hate to see where we'd end up if we tried to use our parachute payments on Gale.

Re: 3 Years Ago - McDermott's first game against Bristol Cit

The question I have is has our squad really improved that much in comparison??? I say it hasn't really :| Definite improvements: Federici, Cummings, both centre backs, both central midfielders, both strikers; Pearce>Mills, Le Fondre>Church. Debatable: Shorey/Bertrand, Sigurdsson/Kebe (as a winger I...

Re: Two Icelanders joining Reading

Well I guess that's Deadwood and Tabby replaced then!!! Are they good enough for the first team squad this young Stokie? No, but they got potential just like Gylfi had when he came to Reading. The question is, will they fulfill their potential. This could turn out to be a great business but they co...

Re: Arsenal: Back from the procession

Along the lines of Steven Whittaker Free Michu £2.2 D Murphy Free Hugo Rodallega Free Claudio Yacob Free There were plenty of other opportunities that we would have missed out on because we were chasing and looking at championship players and I still would have gone for Guthrie Free Mid Shorey Free...

Re: Arsenal: Back from the procession

Cummings was abysmal - got utterly destroyed in the first half and for their first 3 goals. Wenger targeted the weakness. Kebe doesn't offer any protection. spot on, see my comments above. i think mcd should have played hrk instead of kebe for that reason alone Clueless. Utterly clueless. Seriously...

Re: Hammond was at Millwall v Leicester yesterday

Even if we lose two of our wingers- and let's face it, unless they improve dramatically/stay fit (Kebe), who is going to want them?- we'll still have two more experienced and better wingers than Antonio, plus Obita. Retrospectively, I'd much rather have had Henry than McCleary, but I don't think it ...

Pepe the Horseman How on earth would Coppell be the best man for this kind of situation? Do you not remember what happened the last time we were in the Prem?

Yes, Coppell kept us up!

Re: RUMOUR - Sidwell back in Jan

he was instrumental in the divide we had in the dressing room in 07/08 (e.g. re: players bonuses/squad photo) It was when I read about this event in the Secret Footballer that I decided the player couldn't be Kitson, the captain in question just didn't sound anything like Murts. So was that actuall...

Re: Brian's Press Conference today

BM won't get sacked because of the very few number of points we get, he will get sacked for the money the club will lose as a result of that. Football is a business and that is all that matters to the owners. It doesn't matter that he can do a good job in the championship, the owners do not want to...

I would take Wally as manager. His style of football would probably make McDermott look like AVB, but we'd tighten up at the back.

Re: Yet Another Updated Poll. Stay or Go after Sunderland lo

Whilst a large proportion of the blame for this seasons performances lies at Brian's feet, I don't think sacking him now will do much good. Besides, we're only in this mess because he got us promoted.

Abstain.
