Re: Poyet to Reading?

Big NO to Poyet. His Brighton team are scummy. I don't want us to go back to the team we were when McDermott first took over. Show me a right back that costs £2.5m that is PL quality? Show me a striker on a free transfer that is PL quality? Show me a CM on a free transfer that is PL quality? If he's...

Re: Potential managers to replace mcdermott

Ian Royal Hughes - shit since 2009

8th with Fulham in 2011.

Dolan is one of a very small number of people I'd accept, and not right now. At the end of the season.

Re: Villa , " let's take the positives "

Positives: Best performance of the season from a Reading right back Tabb had possibly his best ever game for us Shorey played well No Gorkss, and both centre backs did well. Negatives: No creativity We made Villa look like Swansea. I'm getting worried about fellow fans , " Tabb had possibly be...

Re: 4-5-1 home to United?

Does it really matter? I'd go for: --------------------------Henly-------------------------- Arnold-----McDonald-----Hector-----Partridge Webb--------Losasso----------Taylor--------Obita ------------------Samuel-----Ugwu-------------------- Centre back at left back? Shane Griffin will be sobbing hi...

Re: How Long Will BM Last at this rate?????

There was a midfield alternative on the bench! Bryn has never let us down! Except last time we were in the Premier League. Look we are going down. Accept it. So lets not spend massive amounts on a new manager lets do it the Reading way and appoint Eamon Dolan. Appointing Eamon Dolan is a genuinely i...

Re: Your CB Pairing.

Pearce-Mariappa Gorkss has looked really short of confidence this season and can't continue in the side. He needs a spell out of the team to find his old form. Morrison has had several moments of brilliance (dribbling out of the defence, last gasp block tackles, dominating Holt), but he makes too ma...

Re: Understanding our subs?

How the hell can you justify taking Tabb off and leaving Leigertwood on? He was at fault for the first and third goal today. He always looks clumsy and easily panicked in the middle of the park and gives away possession far too easily. Pog for Roberts with 7 minutes to go? Roberts looked shattered ...

Re: Team for Villa

W&E Royal Taylor is terrible, i'd rather play Sal Bibbo. Can't we play Mikkel Andersen?

Fairly sure we didn't register Andersen.

Get Carter If Federici is in goal, probably 0-5

Federici had a blinder against United in the FA Cup a few years ago. It might have been his debut?

Re: Tim Dellor wants your BM questions for Monday

Barry the bird boggler Why have all YOUR signings, except Shorey, either got naff all games or have been almost always totally non-descript when they've played?

Au contraire! We would be doing significantly better if Gorkss and Gunter were totally nondescript!

Re: Tim Dellor wants your BM questions for Monday

jellytot Has he considered playing 5-3-2 when Guthrie returns?

I hope not, otherwise we won't be able to play either of our two best players (McAnuff and Kebe), or if we do then they will be up against two wide players. We'll also have three centre backs dealing with (usually) one striker.

Re: Attacking midfielders?

As a club (with the exception of Gylfi) when was the last time that we had an attacking central midfield who fitted into our "system". It seems to me that all of our best players over the last decade have been wingers (Little, Salako, Convey, Kebe, McAnuff). Is the Guthrie, Matějovský, Ho...

Re: The Gr8 Keeper Deb8

ok so my other question was (bearing in mind Woodcotes concerns) ...who would sign Mc in preferrence to what they already have (and why would he sign to sit on a bench). Southampton and Villa are the only two who would consider signing him for the player he is right now. A few more (off the top of ...

Re: The Gr8 Keeper Deb8

Fielding was being picked ahead of McCarthy for the U21s and seniors, which was probably right as Fielding was better at the time (but also older). Whilst it is impossible to tell if Fielding is ahead of McCarthy now, McCarthy remained on the Olympic shortlist for longer. Fielding also hasn't been t...

Re: Back from the Everton (H) game

Tabb/Leigs a joint score - why? Do thay come BOGOF? No, I just had the same things to say for both of them. McAnuff 5- poor, his worst game for a long time. I thought he'd been put on the right to deal with Baines, but he didn't. He just pointed at him. Going forward he did very little. Switch him ...

Re: The Gr8 Keeper Deb8

so who would actually sign McCarthy as their first team keeper in the Prem? There are keepers ahead of him in the England pecking order in the Championship. That's only because Dave Watson was the England and Birmingham goalkeeping coach. Given that McCarthy has outperformed Butland at every level ...
