Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a)

We've been poor and you can't begrudge them their lead so far. But doesn't change the fact it was a foul and VAR would have ruled it out

Re: Rival Watch

I think we'll still be in a good place next year though. Likely to lose Richards (confirmed), Olise - and then shed a few squad players who we won't miss massively if at all- Walker, Aluko, Baldock, East, Watson, Smith Hopefully Joao won't get itchy feet, and we sort our shit out with Tom Mc but we...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a)

Lads, if you don't love Yakou Meite do you even love football? If he keeps performing as he is, he is going to end up as one my all-time favourite Reading players. I think you're really seeing now the potential that PSG probably saw and picked him up for. Only just starting to come into his prime n...

Re: Rival Watch

The points total for a play-off spot was being touted as 74 a few weeks back, to get that Bournemouth need to win 6 of their last 10 and Cardiff 7. We are just 13 points off that mark and I would expect us to get 76/77. If we win 5 and lose 5 of the final 10, we'll be on 76 and you're starting to t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a)

I know Huddersfield won the playoffs, but it's hardly a model to follow. They didn't score a goal in 3 games, played out possibly the worst match of football ever against us at Wembley and won 2 penalty shootouts. They weren't fresh or remotely close to the form they had displayed earlier in the se...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a)

Is that 4 matches in a row against us that Samba has cost them? Didn't they rate him as one of the best GKs in the league last season?

Joao Virginia on for the injured Pickford against Burnley. Everton are screwed.

Re: Rival Watch

Need to take the positives. At least there’s a little buffer between us and 7th now... would be great to keep this mini unbeaten run going and get something from brum and the fakies before the break. Yeah good results for our play off hopes As always a big what if we’d got the 3 points but 1 is ok ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a)

Done incredibly well considering missing Swift, Meite, Puscas and Yiadom for huge chunks of the season What might have been. What would be good is to nail the play offs as early as possible and rest key players for the final couple of games of the League season. It worked for ‘Uddersfield. Yep exac...

Re: Rival Watch

Forget about the top two. Too many decisions are going in favour of the teams above us. Brentford very lucky to win that. Very frustrating for the chasing pack seeing the decisions Swansea and Brentford have got away with. It’s hard not to think of the game at Hillsborough when we should have had f...

Re: Rival Watch

Just thinking of the "these decisions even themselves out" cliché. Have we been gifted any wins by the referee like Brentford and Swansea this season?

Derby are not a bad side these days. When are they due at the Madejski? Will be a tougher match than the opening day.

Re: Rival Watch

Lots of teams have had dips in form out of the blue. We recently got 1 point from 4 games; Brentford lost 4 in a row I think. The teams above will slip up; the issue is that we'll need to be close to perfect to capitalise. I don't think we will be. Solid bet for playoffs, but top 2 out of reach.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (h)

Was about to post the same. He's impressed me so much not just his attitude which has always been good but his skill levels and awareness. He should feel very unlucky if he finds himself out of the team at the moment Could it be that we can't offer contracts now because of FFP? Funny really, TTE on...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (h)

need to get McIntyre signed up. Been vital to us since he came back in. Be a bit shit losing Olise, McIntyre and Richards -esp 2 on basic frees Yep. Disappointing it hasn’t happened yet. He’s actually quite a stylish player but he also really knows how to get stuck in. He also deserves to remain in...

Re: Rival Watch

I think the issue with the penalty for Colin is the ref, who was quite close to it, originally gave a corner before deferring to the linesman. It was a very soft penalty though, and not the first given to Steve "son of a referee" Cooper's side this week, let alone this season. Don't like ...

Re: Next 10 games

Not sure if this is necessarily the correct thread to raise this, but does anyone actually genuinely think we’ll be promoted this season? This may be to do with not going to games, but personally I’m finding it really hard to get excited and just can’t see us going up. If nothing else. We haven't h...

Re: Next 10 games

This, and the fact they have the most clean sheets this season. We're second. Norwich are 3rd. Crazy really. We've kept 16 clean sheets. Means we have let in 37 goals in the other 19. So, if you score past us, you are likely to get 2 but getting the first is pretty hard to do. That seems... unusual...

Re: Next 10 games

If we make the playoffs, Brentford are the team I fear the most and are the best team on their day. Swansea are really nothing special and I'd back us to beat them with a full strength team.
