Re: Clement

Don’t think PC mentioned him when talking about the ill/injured To be honest if he isn’t in the squad today with the number of injuries we have, it’s pretty much time up This is the burning question for me, too. Since Clement has FINALLY given the chances to our youth so many have been clamouring f...

Re: Clement

I guess the question has to be asked (sorry if already discussed already but) Was Aluko injured/poorly today, or is his time up with PC? Don’t think PC mentioned him when talking about the ill/injured To be honest if he isn’t in the squad today with the number of injuries we have, it’s pretty much ...

Re: New CEO

I don't see the need for Howe to be anyone's "mentor" He was the right man for the job throughout our most successful era and is surely a safe pair of hands in which to entrust the club in the owners absence who, so far, have precious little to show for their large and on going investment ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Doesn't it all come down to football supporters being inherently thick? Thick certainly but essentially jealous. I don't believe we were particularly disliked until getting dumped down to League 1 at the same time as opening a brand new 25k stadium which really did "shine" when compared t...

Re: BFTG Millwall Home

They weren’t mugged, we got ahead and the whole team defended for their lives to earn a well deserved 3pts. The margins between the best and worst in this division are very fine and today we did the basic well and took a fair percentage of chances that came our way while Millwall didn’t. They put in...

Re: [POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

https://www.football.london/reading-fc/reading-fc-manager-paul-clement-15299650 Clement really has lost it. Show me one season where Aluko has consistently been a 'really good player'? Closest he got was that last season at Fulham, and we were stupid enough to buy him. Will be taking my seat tomorr...

LUX Great result, hope it turns a corner.

Dismayed, but not surprised, by the moaning on here.

Most expected us to be dominated by Villa and would take a point before the match, that very scenario happens and people moan.

I'm used to Reading fans by now.

Re: Josh Sims - Confirmed?

We signed a player who had a great record as a goal scorer in this division on loan last season, and he was genuinely as bad a player as Inhave seen at the club in the last 5 year’s You complain we have no pace, movement or quality up front (which I disagree with) and we sign someone who apparently...

Re: Forest (A) match thread

It’s one thing Moore not starting but having O’Shea on the bench ahead of a player we value in excess of £10m is frankly ludicrous unless there are fitness issues.

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

Get over it. Why would any player want to stay in this current Reading setup when we have zero ambition to reach the premier league? If there was any doubt before the transfer window about the clubs intentions, that's been put to bed with the huge lack of investment in our squad while the genuine p...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

As our best player, in my view, Moore deserved his POTS award. Furthermore, in the post Hammond era, in which we've spunked millions on those who have failed to deliver, if his successor has ever been quilty of barking up the right tree it was the one that led to signing Moore. It took forever but w...

Re: CONFIMRED - Adrian Popa

He did look massively unfit on one of the pre-season games, saying that it was Eastleigh game i think and all the players had done double sessions before that game and they all looked pretty haggard. Its a shame he had an injury as i think going away over pre-season might have been a chance for him...

Re: RUMOUR- John O’shea set to sign for Reading

I really don't get what the risk is? He wont be on top dollar at 37 years old and he is getting coaching experience so that is likely to be a bartering tool that reading use to get wages down further. Its a one year contract with no fee. and we get another experienced voice in the dressing room. An...

Re: Rumour - Vito Mannone

Not to mention the far post, crossbar or anywhere in his own half. Yes, it's a real mystery how Brian ever got us promoted with Feds in goal. It's a mystery to those who never gave McDermott the credit he deserved, not to mention those who think Federici made only one mistake in a Reading sh...
