Re: Rival Watch

To be honest with the players they have Fulham should be storming the league. Mitrovic is a Premier League striker, no idea how they convinced him to stay there. Very true. They also have Harry Arter (somehow). The guy is clearly good enough to play for any club in the Premier League. Injury sick n...

Re: January Transfer Window

I think people are being excessively harsh on Pele to be honest, he's a good option to have now we've stopped faffing around with the ball Infact right now I'd have Pele ahead of Rino as the holding midfielder (if we were to play 5 at the back still) More control of the midfield that way and it sho...

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw

7 years in a row the 3rd round game has been away, and four of those 7 were either Huddersfield or United. Hoping for better this year

I reckon we’ll get Bournemouth home though

Re: VAR

Anyone more intelligent than me able to explain the Arsenal penalty retake? I thought it was for encroachment but there were equally Arsenal players in the box so I don’t understand it Worked well for the Leicester goal though although not sure why the lino flagged when he’s been told to be on the s...

Re: BFTG Wigan

Did you actually go, or is this back from the IPad highlights? Try reading it and having a guess. The clues are there. Don't own an iPad btw. Couldn’t be bothered. Might read it now given you’ve actually confirmed you went.. Yawn There are advantages to watching it at home, there are advantages to ...

Re: Ex Players

He didn't. I know you never go or went to games so it would be harder for you to understand. I do go to games. Norwood was a bit inconsistent for us, and too fond of floaty corners, but (a) was not universally hated, apart, maybe, from the more moronic end of our fanbase, (b) always put in effort a...

Re: Gunter - did Stam make him shit?

I would argue he was never a "great" player for us. His biggest assets are his consistency and his athleticism. He suffers greatly at the most important defensive duties and always has (imo). He is always a step too far away from his man, his tackling is often poor, he is not great in the...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a) sponsored by a long trek up north

Puscas will chip away at the goals either way. He's clearly talented but this is clearly also a steep learning curve for him. More adventurous line up will result in more chances created. Playing 5 at the back serves a purpose. Too often limits attacking options though. Most of our goals with 5 at ...

Re: Rival Watch

In Charlton’s defence, apparently they have 12 first team players out injured at the moment. They only had 5 subs on the bench yesterday because of it and have had to give debuts to youngsters recently. I think once Taylor and co are back, they’ll climb up to around 14th

The defender got the ball and then took Boye out so I’m not sure the challenge was worthy of a foul. That’s how I thought it worked anyway

+1 Boye was decent I thought, caused them some trouble What is it about being 1-0 down to Wigan going into the last 10 minutes?! Wigan must hate playing us :D Reminded me a bit of the Bolton 3-1 win back in 2007, 3 goals in the last 10 minutes to win that too It's funny because I swear Wigan used t...

On the actual game itself because no-one has posted a BFTG thread yet, I thought the three CB's were solid yet unspectacular. Some poor passes from them in certain situations though put us in danger Richards was OK but no better, Yiadom fluctuated between great and poor, Pele was the standout for m...

PremAddict From Get Reading:

“A late George Puscas completed a remarkable turnaround for Reading as they saw off fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic 3-1 at the DW Stadium.”

Tragic, yet amazing . A deceased Puscas finished off his hat trick.

Would explain his performance vs Leeds at least
