Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Even if there was an annual check, could they actually force an owner to sell if they subsequently failed it? It does feel like really significant changes are needed to prevent this happening again to some other poor club No they couldn’t but they could put steps in place that would prevent a one t...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

I was thinking a lot about the playoff final yesterday Was that penalty shootout a huge sliding doors moment? No. We didn’t have a squad to compete, Dai woukd have spent big and bad. We'd have been relegated with more spending but parachute payments and still ended up roughly where we are now, give...

I blame the PL. Everything would be better had they bought Hull instead.

Re: I've lost count - Embargos, HMRC Payent defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

So the question, if the EFL charge Dai again which seems inevitable now and he`s found guilty and banned from football ownership for 12 months, what happens? As far as I can see he would be have to sell within 28 days, and if he refuses what is the outcome, punish the club and again with ejection f...

Re: I've lost count - Embargos, HMRC Payent defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Imagine you are Dai, you have no emotional connection to club and you are just a hard-nosed businessman who doesn't want to see his investment go down the swanny. What is your next move? Sell the club to the highest bidder. He had the chance to do that in November and chose not to. Or as IR suggest...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

I think it just shows football can't mark its own homework. If we go, we'll be the third since 2020, following Bury and Macclesfield and that doesn't consider the near misses. The PL and EFL still haven't agreed on funding. People like Steve Parish saying the regulator should be light touch are so w...

We got time on TalkSport. Why is Simon Jordan allowed to issue his stupid opinions on matters such as this, given he led Palace into administration?

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

Loads over Twitter today, inc mentions of the situation from the likes of Jeff Stelling, Ian Wright and Gary Neville Fair to say the protests have done their job Of course whether anything positive happens as a result is a much more difficult question On the face of it puts EFL in a sticky position...

Re: Rumour - Lewis Wing to Portsmouth

Dai and the directors must also be sailing close to the wind in terms of wrongful trading, which is where you know an entity may not be able to meet its obligations but you continue trading anyway. See the catering firm leaving because of the unpaid bill. If Dai pocketed transfer money for himself a...

Re: Potential New Owners

There are plenty of buyers, we had 5 offers on the table. Dai is the problem. I don't see much hope, I suspect we'd need someone with an emotional attachment to knowingly pay £10m - £20m more than we're worth. Not sure who is out there. And even if I had the money as a fan, I'd also be put off by th...

Re: I've lost count - Embargos, HMRC Payent defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Presuming that any monies received from player sales this window will go into the required backup deposit account to cover player wages. If Dai fails to do that then surely the FL will have no alternative but to charge him again and then bar him from being an owner to thus force the sale. Does that...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

It's also now just pissing money up the wall for him . If he does have cash flow/liquidity issues, it doesn't make sense to keep hold of an asset that's costing you further. Which makes it even more bizarre. In response to would I have been on the pitch, it depends who I was with. If I was with mat...

Re: “ Sell before we Dai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group v2.3b sponsored by Sports Direct Tennis Ba

Ultimate responsibility rests with Dai, but short of sending a firm to Hong Kong he's hard to reach directly. Pang is CEO who has a lot of blood on his hands and culpability. Taking the fight to him is the next best option. We should probably also make clear that every time Dai sets foot in this cou...

There does seem to be a false narrative that a lot of the media have fallen for that Dai's 2 other clubs went bust before the EFL approved him, when they folded in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Puts them on the back foot I guess. Same as the £350m Brexit bus; arguing it's only half that doesn't cut th...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

I was on the fence, but having seen the reaction over the past couple of days you have to say it worked. So much coverage and more to come on various national podcasts I believe. Will it influence Dai, the EFL or government? I'm not optimistic, but we had to raise the agenda which has been achieved.

So now we've had a game abandoned, which Dai is probably not going to give a fukk about, at what point do protests become more personal? Like smashing the fukk out of his London mansion? It's rented mate, his whole fukking empire is smoke and mirrors which will become much cleared in the coming mon...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Brighton offer hope, but also the importance of the long game. How long was it between the nadir and finally having a decent ground, let alone where you are now? There are clubs like Stockport and Wrexham who will probably replace us in L1 who didn't have years in non-league, it was decades. See als...

I was ambivalent about our spending if I'm honest. Would love to say I saw this coming, but of course i didn't. Clubs up and down the country are dependent on their owner and ours was a symptom, not a cause. The day we signed Joao and Puscas was exciting tbh. My main frustration was always how badly...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

How does abandonment force a sale ? It won’t change the asset value of the stadium or Bearwood. To your other point, you may be right but we don’t yet know how many players will be sold. According to Selles, Abbey has turned down a move and Tom Holmes is thinking it over so nobody has actually left...
