I will welcome this to Madejski when the trial is simultaneous with ones at Royal Ascot and National Opera. So illegal drugs and football problems in terms of specific drugs and their threat level: Herbage: doesn't exaclty start a riot, does it? Extasy: not noted for cuasing aggression Smack: emacia...

I saw that too, Floyd, and it made me think. At first I thought what an awful admission of complacency. Then I disregarded it as a slip, take out of context. But now I'm just wondering, does having a manager whose own description of his job is as "comfortable" really inspire anyone to beli...

A missed opportunity, although I admit hindsight helps in forming that judgement. The players who (should be) coming through need to get a start sometime, we were always going to struggle to get even a point, and does Bryn at CB really constitute such a good option that no other can be considered?

Monsieur That Friday Feeling - totaly agreed, venom or praise on here will not affect Coppell's decisions. But the reaction on here may be taken as representative of the reaction of the wider fan base, and to some extent, the local and national press. So it's not HNA he'd be aware of, but the public...

If Pearce starts against Villa...

...and he has a decent game, many of us on here will feel vindicated. Some may even be naive enough to think their postings on here have in some way contributed to his place in the starting line up. But if he makes a normal kind of mistake, which appears on MOTD and may have contributed to Villa's w...

2 - 0 o Villa. Kitson to be subdued. Hunt to pull out of full bloodied tackles to an unprecedented extent. Coppel to be unable to explain why we lost. HNA? to be deluged by bitter and twisted posters who see the whole club turning to sh1t. Life, and Reading FC, to go neverthless.

No one has really tried to excuse drink driving, have they. Instead, this thread has turned into a "I hate it more than you do" debate, which is fairly pointless. Kitson. Did something stupid. Made it worse for himself by eing a prat. No way will he get either a custodial sentence or the s...

Did Bikey give away a penalty? No! At the moment, that alone puts him ahead of Sonko.

Hahnemann 5 - One mistake is not enough to call it a bad performance, and apart from that he was really solid. Bad mistake, though. Murty 4 - Off the pace. Reaching end of shelf life? Shorey 3 - Cleary shouldn't have played. He's not noted for his pace, but he almost went backwards for their second ...

My favourite bit of officiating came when Kitson was given offside after the ball was headed back by a Portsmouth player. He got worse as he went on, too, each decision comically worse than the one before. It's as if he only had a bit of good referreing in him, and he blew all that in he first three...

Exactly, he hasn't got his own song really. I'm not in the business of trying to manufacture a spontaneous terrace chant. But I just think it's symptomatic of the way he's been under valued by Reading fans. Don't get me wrong, I've been guilty of it too, but maybe it's time to acknowledge he's a key...

Hunt. The last of my worries about him are gone for now. That was a fantatstic performance, all energy commitment and, yes, skill. Premiership quality. It will take deep pockets to prize him away from us.

But back to Bikey - he has go something about him that people like. He looks like he thinks playing football in the best thing ever, he thinks it's fun, he loves it. I have always believed that given the time and support to get up to speed (like Sonko was given in the lower ressure atmosphere of the...

I may be a indulgent giving Convey 8, I admit I'm well disposed towards him. I think it's pretty fait though, his workrate and positioning were good, he's tracking back effectively. I don't underetimate how much the improvement in Reading's ability to create in the last third is affected by his retu...

1 - 1. Probably very cold, very boring, gaps all around the "bowl," Keane will be revolting, poor refereeing, hysterical defensive cock-ups between Sonko and everyone else, restless and quiet crowd, we'll take the lead then try to sit on it until they score a wonder goal seconds from the e...

To call us "dire" is I think a little harsh. We didn't turn them over playing Champions League style. But we took the chances that we created, we closed them down, they were only really able to shoot from distance most of the time, although even that was scary enough. But we deserved to wi...
