Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

The only way we're going down is if a firesale is necessary in January. This squad will survive comfortably.

Re: Selles In

11 points from 6

P'boro is a free hit, but 3 winnable games afterwards. Think Selles is buying himself more time.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

Big kudos to Button for his save around the hour mark. Very different game if that goes in. What you want from your keeper in a game mostly untested.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

It's just rank bad management whether it goes wrong or not. I mean Savage is LW ffs. Busy Christmas period need to rest them You disrupt your back 4 to the minimum, especially when you have a habit of letting in stupid goals and conceding after subs late on. 9 minutes less playing time is going to ...

Triple sub, including 2 in our backline. Risky as ever, even at 2-0.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

Surprise surprise Azeez in great position to score, fluffs it up. Criticism of Azeez is out of date - he’s been by far the best player for weeks now and looks really dangerous now his confidence is up. If our financial situation is desperate enough, one of our most saleable assets in January. Hopef...

We're lacking in full backs so better get used to him there. Holmes or Bindon the other options when Yiadom out.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

HT 1-0. Should have been 1-1 in added time.

Another poor L1 game with a howler/deflection/moment of quality the difference. This time an Azeez banger.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

WestYorksRoyal You just hope Wigan live to regret getting nothing from the opening 20 minutes where they have been dominant.

There you go, miss a few chances, 1-0 down.

Long way to go given it's Reading. When was our last clean sheet?

Sojskjaer's career has gone nowhere since leaving, but now looking back you'd say he did as good a job as ETH, and just about every other manager since Fergie.

I know next to nothing about Wigan's squad, but their fans on Twitter are saying they have a terrible line up today.

Odd. Selles said no new fitness yesterday, but something must have happened to Yiadom. Mbengue a big downgrade on current form.

Leeds hammering Ipswich in the Championship early kick off could be a real momentum changing result, much as I want Ipswich to do it.

At the time of the 9-0, they brushed it off and said it was an U21s game in the pizza cup. But it really looks like the moment it all started going wrapped for them.

On the away travel bit as well, many of these players still get £3k a week, not that it's acceptable but surely can't they temporarily fund their hotel stays and get paid back when the clubs in a lesser mess? Presumably something like this will happen. Our next away day is manageable in Peterboroug...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Wisdom of the Cat 1 academy questionable for a while. Sustainable in the Championship if you have a plan to produce 1st team players and sell on for a profit. Which we didn't. Definitely not sustaniable in L1, but perhaps makes sense if you have an owner willing to fund it while you lay foundations ...

Snowflake Royal I don't really care about communication. Put something out and 3 hours later its out of date.

I care about some actual progress and results.

No one asks for communication when we're winning.

I believe Brentford's owner says sweet eff all to them. For some reason they don't seem to mind.
