Re: BFTG Bees

Don`t think so. Reading improved in the second half and levelled through Liam Kelly's penalty after Rico Henry pushed Tyler Blackett to the ground from a free-kick. Looked pretty clearly Moore on the highlights, random bolded unatributed text isn't very credible. it was from the BBC report, Sky rep...

Re: Rival Watch

Think is, 'Arry built a reputation as a decent manager doing well on a shoestring at Bournemouth. Obviously that reputation has been subsequently been tarnished by Used Car Salesman 'Arry but I honestly think it's more a case of being yesterday's man. His generation of managers have all called it a...

Re: BFTG Bees

I`ve not seen anything on here being critical of Blackett, maybe on twitter. for me he didn`t do too much wrong. certainly no worse than the other 10 in the first half, earned the pen too, he did ok. Moore earned the penalty. Don`t think so. Reading improved in the second half and levelled through ...

Re: BFTG Bees

Do we really have to have the same moans about needing a striker after every single game for the next three and a half months? It was tedious as oxf*rd a week after the deadline, let alone getting repeated ad nauseum. We can't do anything about it now. There's nothing to say that hasn't been said al...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

The point Tony is making, and I don't disagree with him, is that dangerous play is dangerous play - you cant be driven by the end result. The point that was made about the Mane incident being different had it happened in the centre circle is that you might have had two players going for the ball wi...

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

Could the lack of academy players breaking though into the first team be a sign that our academy isn't producing the right quality of players? - Is this a knock on from Eamon Dolan's replacement not being as good or something? Maybe this is why Martin Kuhl has been replaced? What lack of academy pl...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by the search for Reading's first half goal

That's too easy. Far too soft. Doesn't help that we gave it away cheaply twice leading up to the goal. Any description of what happened? We're starting to get towards the point where this could be a little concerning. But it's all fine margins. Should have (and deserved to) beat Fulham and Bristol....

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by the search for Reading's first half goal

Decent line up, should be solid in midfield, but still creativity and goals. Just about finding the right combination in midfield and upfront from our many options. Berg, for all his errors, seems to be one of the few players who will play a first time pass with pace to open up space and spark a mov...

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

Even top coaches can only have an educated guess as to when someone is ready and they can see the players day in day out in training. Even those who are ready to transition almost certainly won't be the finished article and will have poor periods, needing to be weaned in and dropped for periods. Als...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Looking forward to the overhead kick goals being a thing of the past. If it comes off your a hero, but if a defender sticks his head where he's entitled to, red card. In fact, by the logic of this thread, every single attempted overhead kick should be at least a yellow card. it is after all, danger...

Re: Is the idea of a striker flawed? Does Stam believe in total football?

Ok. So on the basis of the Bristol disaster it would seem the idea of a striker is not flawed, and in truth much as I love Stam I'm feeling angry that he and Tevreden put so much effort into bringing in sooo many midfielders and relatively little effort was put into bringing in at least one goalsco...

Re: BFTG (H) Brizzle

biff JDB was dogshit at finishing, Sam Smith may not be. Doesn't take much of a mental stretch to link the two eh?

This is the Sam Smith who reportedly looked out of his depth against Millwall reserves, when we had to go to extra time to beat them?
