Re: Cardiff - Vandalism in the away end

Schards#2 Next year, if they are in the same division, police the toilets and only allow 2-3 fans in at a time. Put a massive sign by the entrance explain that this action is being take as a result of Cardiff fans previous behavior.

Nice idea until you get fans pissing in the concourse.

Re: The comfort of the concourse

Why would you want to drink beer in a huge, cold, dirty concrete corridor and crane your neck to see a TV positioned in such a way to guarantee you a headache after 10 minutes? Imagine a pub that recreated this unique atmos. It wouldn't last very long. Granted - but the alternative is to go without...

Re: Reading FC was a West Reading club

The West Reading derby between 'ding and town certainly used to have a bit more spice to it than it does now.

Re: The comfort of the concourse

At some time in the past ISTR being told that the breezeblocks was a deliberate choice. If you have paint or plaster on walls where crowds congregate and move about then it very quickly gets scuffed, dented and scratched, and requires constant maintenance to avoid it looking crap. I can believe som...

Re: The comfort of the concourse

The concourses have not been created with the comfort of the customer in mind. Not once has anything been done to remove the prison like look of the breeze blocks. The concourses reflect the overall approach and attitude towards its visitors ie everything on the cheap. It's a fair point. Chuck in s...

Re: The comfort of the concourse

To answer our learned friend Londinium - of course I can survive 2 hours without alcohol (I did so only last week in fact) - but it's more a case of if I'm watching football I have to have had a few drinks and keep myself topped up. Otherwise it's all rather dull isn't it? At other sporting events (...

Mate of mine was hit by one of these footballs on the arm at the last match.

The comfort of the concourse

How much of the match do you watch from the concourse? With the mammoth queues at half time, and draconian drinking laws in the "main bowl", I've often spent 20-30 minutes of a match watching the game from the concourse. And I've enjoyed every minute of it - noone telling you to sit down a...

Are STAR doing a good job?

I see STAR have been the victims of some trolling by a certain quarter of the board. Let's use this thread to set the books straight. Do you think STAR are doing a good job for the fans and the club? For my part I think their away travel coaches are excellent value for money and well organised - so ...

What's your biggest gripe about the club?

We all know there's a lot of moaning for moanings sake on this board - price of the catering, the songs we sing, the queues for the buses etc.

But what's your number one issue? If you were chairman for the day, or had an Aladdin style wish (I'm only giving you one mind) what would you do?

What are your hopes for the next five years?

Would you be happy to see the club consolidate their position in the Championship, or would you only really be happy with a return to top tier football?

Perhaps you're a pessimist and would be thrilled just to see the club stay in the championship, or even just settle for it not going bust.
