Re: BFTFGF - Posh

This evening we were privileged to see a well-drilled team playing in blue and white (and even with a guy called Little running down the right wing) completely demolishing a set of apparent strangers. That team stands every chance of running away with their league, if they can keep their team toget...

Re: Poll -next manager

Saw Phil Brown on the telly yesterday and had forgotten about his exploits at Hull - don't think anyone's mentioned him yet but could be worth a try

Son who lives in Noocassel reports minimal snow in the area at the present, although BBC weather is forecasting snowfall in Noocassel for Friday night & most of Saturday.

Re: Worst Reading Player

Malcolm Swain,no contest, worse player ever I was just about to post exactly this. He is head and shoulders above any of the other 'worst' players I wondered how long before Malc's name would come up. He was an OK player at school, but nothing special, there were several players in that school team ...

Re: Back From the Game-Posh 3 Royals 1

Re: Back from the Game - Lesta (H)

Couldn't believe the commentators up here on Radio Leicester (when we were only 2-0 up) with comments like:
"The pairing of Gorks & Pearce is pretty average" and "That chanting at Mills is disgraceful - he was a good & loyal servant to Reading"

Re: Play-off Final furthest Traveller

Train from Grantham with No.3 son, but No.1 son will be hoping to watch the game in a bar somewhere unpronounceable in Laos (apologies for his terrible lack of commitment/funds for airfare and not being able to be there - he has been reprimanded)

Re: Reading Hall of Shame?

Can't stop laughing about all the comments about Malcolm Swain! I went to school with him (Charters, Ascot) & I always remember him wearing short trousers right through to the 3rd Year - this must have hardened him to all the abuse that he received on (and off) the pitch. He was in the same scho...

Leicester - 1 Year On

Fantastic day - up there with winning the Simod Cup at Wembley for atmosphere. Couldn't get tickets for the Reading block but as we live local to Leicester we were able to get 4 tickets for the Leicester end but right next to the Reading block & managed to stay under cover until Doyle scored! Go...
