RIP ELM Park Although it's not directly his responsibility I would suggest emailing Boyd Butler, he's always dealt with any queries I've had in the past very well.

Not sure why you say it is not his responsibility - it is as the sales centre manager reports directly to the sales and marketing manager.

Can I join STAR and buy a Carpark pass at the same time? cheers, Lee. Go to http://www.star-reading.org and you will find application forms for both. The car park forms asks for your STAR number so mark it as applied for and we can co-ordinate to get the number before the car park ticket gets sent ...

He apologises for the delay but his mother was taken ill and hospitalised which does take away the time you have for these ...

Re: Food at Reading

Does STAR have any say in the catering services provided by the club - in particular I wonder whether a small group of fans could test out the various ranges of catering that a company can offer for the contract they've been awareded rather than only produce one range of food and drinks Brentford a...

I seem to recall Harps saying that the Preston fans applauded them off the pitch - he said he remembered it as we always lost there before and he could not believe how well we played - and that was only the 3rd game of the season after all

Re: Lost business opportunity for Reading FC

Why didn’t they sell the pitch when they had it dug up? They could have cut it in to small pieces and displayed it in presentation boxes. Sold each part for about £25 or so and made a fortune. What a lost opportunity for Reading FC. I’m sure many fans would like a souvenir of the pitch from Reading...

Re: Away Season Tickets (Again!)

STAR, Would you ask the club to publish the dates for when the money for each Away Game will be deducted for Away ST Holders so that people like me can ensure I have the right amount of money in my bank account and don't miss a payment. I think it is impossible to do so too far in advance as it wil...

Sorry, you misunderstand what I meant. I don't think the system is bad, I'm all for as system that monitors attendence and allocates tickets accordingly. The problem I have, and this is a view held by the majority of fans that I've spoken to, is that the club are using this system to drive revenue ...

As has been pointed out RFC intentions are to reward fans in all sorts of ways including one day, going as far as buying a pint of beer. So its not a loyalyty system but a rewards system. More money spent more points. More help more points. What a load of crap. As a supporter of this club ( I hope ...

Do STAR have any intention of lobbying the club to use the royalty system in a more sensible way so as to reward fans in a fairer system? The latest example of blackmailing fans to come to a pre-season friendly is extremely insulting to me, and doesn't fit with the aim that the points are there to ...

I can't see that you have not had a reply maybe just not the reply you want. From the beginning the points system was devised as a way to reward those who help the club make money. . Can I get Royalty points if I stay at the hotel or buy a beer at the ground then? After all this is helping the club...

And surely offering an incentive to collect funds for the tsunami appeal defeats the point of voluntary charity work? I don't believe it was said up front that people would get royalty points for doing it. People volunteered because they wanted to do somethng positive. Do people seriously think the...

Re: Royalty Points Banding

any chance that STAR could ask the club to publish approximate bandings of the numbers of fans within bands of 50 points say? under50 50-100 100-150 etc etc might be a good marketing ploy if they wabt to give these 20 points for the friendly, ihave just under 100 and would like to know where I stan...

I am glad you will take it up with the club when you have a chance. I didn;t say rangers or celtic would come, just that they would consider Reading. The date of this fixture is after the SPL starts (not that seems important to celtic who are playing in Japan that week). I disagree you "have" to ha...

STAR knows nothing about this and will be taking it up with the club as soon as one of has a chance. However I suspect it has something to do with the fact that to have a home friendly you have to play a foreign team when you are a premiership club. To play a foreign team you have to pay them to co...
