Re: Jay Tabb

One thing i've noticed about Tabb, is that I think his physique and (lack of) height really help his play. He's stocky as hell and has a low centre of gravity, hence is rarely pushed off the ball. Also, its been mentioned how good he is at winning the ball...I actually think its his lack of height t...

Re: Back from the game Derby (H)

Oh one more thing - I see people describing the Arsenal lad's goal as "lucky", "flukely", "a poked finish" etc. Thought it looked a pretty skillz finish from where I was sat if i'm honest. 'greed I thought that was quite a class goal. The guy had to change his stride a...

Re: Back from the game Derby (H)

Hallelujah! Someone else with the EXACT same opinion as me, have said it the last few games and will say it again but what does Howard offer that Matejovsky doesn't? At least Matejovsky would play the occasional killer pass and with Long and Kebe (perhaps even Church) on fire and with pace to burn,...

floyd__streete Lowest league crowd in many years, 14,000 which proves that the Reading public are losing faith in the McDermott regime.

Re: Back from the game Derby (H)

Maguire Same view as wimb, from the north stand it looked like tabb pushed the ball wide and way ahead of himself. Not seen a proper replay yet.

From Y20 it looked to me like Tabb had pushed it way beyond his reach when taken down. In fact I shouted at the wasted chance just as the keeper took him down

Re: Back from the Game - Villa

One Beer is never enough. I will concede that point, back to soccerbase ......... but 9 years is a fantastic period for us to have always had something to play for on the final day of the season (not counting play-offs)

What about the 9th (?) place in Coppell's 1st or 2nd season?

Re: Back from the Game - Villa

Took the missus to today's game and told her at half time that I was so proud of the performance/score, that even if we lost 3-2 or 4-2 i'd be happy enough with the day

Re: Back From The Game - Sheff Wed (H)

Wednesday couldn't handle Church's pace :| They handled it brilliantly I thought, he had a couple of one on one chances and the defenders outpaced him and pushed him out wide every time. Even with the goal he scored I don't know how he didn't sail through and score, looked like the danger was over ...

Re: Back From The Game - Sheff Wed (H)

'greed on the first half.....thought our midfield was looking vulnerable and we were just playing long ball. I'd say we actually got worse the longer the half went on Lucky goal, followed by another, then a screamer just after half time. End of the game a contest. Wednesday couldn't handle Church's ...

Re: Wolves get suspended fine for team selection

Big Marcus seemed really unamused on BBC earlier...........rightly asking why Pompey got away with fielding a "2nd" string team against Fulham (a game they could have won) 3 years ago, a result that helped send Reading down

Re: Back from the game - Plymouth (H)

Griffin MoM for me

They guy oozes calm and always looks up before playing the ball forward, invariably finding a really nice pass through to the forwards. Two fantastic bits of defending where he came across to block/cover/tackle almost at left back

Re: Back from the game - Plymouth (H)

Hmmmmm must have been watching different game to most of you lot. Thought the standard of play in the first 35min was pretty damned good myself. Church has got to be dropped..... Long and Thor next game please. The two subs Plymouth made at half time utterly transformed them from stiffling and ineff...
