Re: Pompey going bust could help us go up

It happened to Accrington and Aldershot and possibly Maidstone though I'm not sure about them.

Most annoying thing is that if we thump Pompey on Tuesday we then lose the three points.

I wonder what happens to season ticket holders of clubs who won't now get the home fixture against them.

Re: Roberts and 606

Yes, you're right. He did last longer than I suggested.

And he looked brilliant in spells.

But I can't think of scenarios where old pros with other things on their minds have succeeded for us.

Re: Roberts and 606

Good as he is as a pundit, he has stated he wants a media career. And as Reading striker Jason Roberts he must be a much more marketable pundit than Blackburn has-been Jason Roberts. He played a good 20 minutes against Bristol but he was quickly knackered. He is old for a footballer so getting fit w...

Re: Tim Dellor says...

To be fair to TD, much of the drivel on Radio Berks is from texters who are either furious or drooling depending whether we win or lose.

White seats

Does anyone know why there seems to be a block of white seats with blue backs behind the goal in the south stand?

Re: That PortaStudio they knock up whenever we're on TV

Shame it does not seem to be worthwhile.

That rickety black box in the corner does look like something you might have expected at Elm Park.

There is a room at the back of the press gallery where jounors go and pig their sandwiches at half time. Surely they could use that.

Re: Alex McCarthy

McCarthy clearly likes the huge support from the Elland Road kop.

At Reading he gets the miserable witterings of a few twits in the south east corner. If ever Reading fans who want to sing decided to gather in the North Stand, this interview suggests you could really help your own players.

Re: North East Corner Atmosphere

From the comments on here anyone would think there was some kind of singing going on in the South East corner. The SE corner make me cringe every game. They are humiliated by the smallest number of away fans and get thoroughly laughed at at every match. If there are more than 1,000 away fans the SE ...

Re: 90 minutes stand and sing vs watford

For most games this season Y26 has been a place to sit and say nothing for 90 minutes, let alone sing. Our abysmal mob seemed to have finally given up a few months ago so I would love to see them stand and sing for 90 minutes. But they won't. They'll sit in silence for most of the time. They they'll...

I am interested to know what they are charging. I would take a guess that a price rise was sneaked in.

Re: Bristol City - Boxing Day weather watch

The online ticketing thing is utter rubbish.

One day it looks almost sold out. The next there are thousands of seats.

It's a con to make people buy the tickets they want to sell.

Re: Safe-standing areas - TIME FOR ACTION

I used to love terracing but it would be very unsuitable at the Madstad. I am not a builder but I doubt it's just a case of ripping out seats. You'd need different entrances, disabled areas and probably some type of higher barrier at the front with all the safety issues around that. Even if the club...

Re: Safe-standing areas - TIME FOR ACTION

If they are not interested then it kind of illustrates that this is fairly pointless. Hooliganism declined with the loss of terracing. In seats everyone is visible to CCTV. On terracing they can hide. It will become easier to invade pitches quickly and will just be a step back towards the 1980s. The...

Re: Football League Show

I think Rosenior is good, Claridge is up himself and Lizzie is just a drippy bird with a painted on smile. Clem is a fairly harmelss idiot. The normal bloke who introduces it isn't bad. I just hate the way he tries to look at the league tables when we know he is not really stood next to them. Why th...

Good, at least it's a one off, then.

Don't suppose anyone would know if the Jazz Cafe was any cheaper than the hotel?

Couldn't get in the hotel

Does anyone know if there is some kind of policy about controlling the number going in the hotel?

I went to go in after the Leeds game and they were controlling entry, like it was the bluddy Purple Turtle or something.

I P1ssed off home. I'm not queuing in the cold to pay their frigging prices.

Great that Gylfi signed a new contract too in April.

Surely Gylfi's cash would allow us a second view of the goals.

No food for stewards? Every cloud has a silver lining I suppose.
