Re: Out of favour players

How many more threads do we need going over the same old thing??? How many threads attract someone who posts a message to complain about the thread? Try to keep up. The point is we are playing deadbeat players but some promising get no chance. Now it is probably too late to drop the young pl...

Out of favour players

Could anyone offer any thoughts as to why some players just don't get a chance? Coppell is known for sticking with players he likes but I can't understand why he didn't seem to like Convey, has gone off Karacan, suddenly seemed to lose faith in Noel Hunt and doesn't seem to let Bennett or Mooney get...

Joel Hufford

Great to hear Joel Hufford commentate for the Coventry game. The only bright spot in supporting our deadbeat team right now. He was telling it like it is while Gooding was trying to put a positive spin on everything.

Does anyone know if Joel is back for good?

Re: Evolving the atmosphere

It's an excellent idea because the noise we make is too spread out between singing and non-singing people.

In that corner the noise would be really concentrated. A few hundred could be louder than thousands spread around the ground.

Re: Forest Predictions

If Lita plays, some predictions will be asy.

He will get the ball and back into a defender, try to turn him and if he can't he'll dive. If he can turn the defender he'll blast it over.

Re: No longer a 3 horse race

Cardiff are definitely looking stronger than Birmingham. At the same time we are looking pretty ineffective. I don't think we have played well in more than two or three games recently. The players look nervous and I don't fancy us to win many of our away games. Wolves just need to do their annual sc...

Hunt in the Chronicle

Not sure whether this is good news or bad! STEPHEN Hunt has accused Reading of hiding the truth about a possible move back to the Premier League. Earlier this week Royals insisted there have been no official bids for the 27-year-old winger who has a £5 million get-out clause in his contract. And th...

Re: Clapping video

I mentioned the gap at the back once to someone at the club. Not least because it's freezing. The answer seemed to be that if they blocked it off the roof could get blown down. As for the pre-match video, they try to time it to end when the players walk out - which is pretty much impossible. And stu...

Re: Cardiff (Home)

Good point. According to the Cradifff website they expect to sell their allocation of 3,100. I don't understand why they got that number. Isn't it normally 2,000 or 4,000?

Re: "Come on you Royals" deep voice man

It's great to know this bloke is still around. I remember him well from Elm Park but haven't heard him since. All I can hear is some gobby fat twit near the back about Y21/22 who shouts and swears very loudly and often uses racial abuse. Every time he does it his friends fall about with laughter. Am...

Re: Madejski's comments to BBC Radio Berkshire

This thread seems to be reserved for everyone to state the exact same knee-jerk drivel. So spending loads of money will be the answer to everything? The same sh1t was being voiced by similarly impatient to55ers three years ago. Then of course, when we won the league you were singing "There's on...

Re: Imbecile convention

Like all message boards on any subject, there are about 20% of posters who are rational and balanced and can make reasoned arguments. The other 80% are split between people who have their opinion (on a player or on anything else) and nothing will change that opinion, and the rest are people who are...

Re: If we really are one of the quietest teams....

The best songs sung at football matches are all really simple ones, or at least ones that are full of long notes, and fairly few syllables. It just sounds better and it's easier to sing that way. Exactly. United use a lot of irony which makes it harder to sing in opposition to them, such as "w...

Well at least we won't get any more stories about not owning a car. When he gets his licence back (assuming he is found guilty, of course) he is going to have to buy himself a car instead of driving around in a very nice/flash sponsored Audi. He's no longer an ideal role model for a car retailer! ....

This has been happening for 40 years. If some dumfcuk goes in the home end to support the away team, he shouldn't really be surprised at the reaction.

What sort of fans go to a game then leave early so they don't even know the result? What the hell do they do with the ten minutes they save? They shuffle along getting in every fukcers way and when the team come to show their appreciation after a great result the place is half empty. They should giv...

Just about all those "professional" journos from the nationals informed the world the foul was outside the box, only for TV to prove every one of them wrong. Most of them had their story written before the match. Just look at the number of photographers behind Marcus's goal ready to get pi...

The music is brilliant. Tom Hark is the perfect football music and if it pees off all the south east corner crowd who think they should lead all the celebrations , then it's all the better. Those who spend their lives distraught about Tom Hark are no doubt the same ones who dislike the drummer becau...

Top tip for the designers.... If you don't want a crowd of people blocking the exits at full time trying to rubberneck the television showing sky sports news...... Don't install televisions next to exits. That is all. That is so true. Trying just to get in through the turnstiles sometimes is almost...
