Re: MORE THAN A RUMOUR - Bradley Wright Phillips

By the way, Ian Wright seems to be as popular with Hobnobbers as Angela Rippon is with viewers of Dancing on Ice. So let me say that I like him. He can be a little irritating, like an excitable schoolboy, and he's no TV presenter--but I admired his commitment and character as a player, and I loved ...

Re: WBA (H) FA Cup 3rd round Match Thread!

Church and HRK is a very lightweight front line when trying to protect a lead - still McD knows best! 8)

Re: Bradley Wright Phillips

Tbf both cases were dropped against him, he might have grown up now, give him a chance. The first case should not have been dropped, CCTV shows BW-P laughing as Dyer steals: http://images.mirror.co.uk/upl/m3/mar2008/5/6/97E13D36-92FC-248A-AA350464C445C0A7.jpg Thats our man in the doorway laughing, ...

Re: Bradley Wright Phillips

I'd be furious if we signed him. He is a decent golascorer, could even go on a run of scoring goals here, but he is NOT the type of person I want at the club. I was SO PROUD of the way we played under coppell and the way he tried where possible to sign good honest players with half a brain, the way ...

Re: SPECULATION - Charlie Austin

Gut instinct, reading between the lines and all that, I can't help thinking this deal is in the bag. Funny thing is, Austin seems to be someone that leads the line (correct me if I'm wrong) and that is exactly what Long does. So will it be Long and Austin up front? In which case I think Long will ha...

If Becks come back and plays for 6 weeks or whatever, will he be good enough?

Re: 'twas the week before Christmas

Why didn't they buy 100 brooms and a hundred snow shovels and get the crowd to help at half time in return for a beer at full time? In fact, why didn't they hire one of these? http://www.bsmowers.co.uk/files/d18/contents/hpx_snow_plough_2_0_max.bmp If they were losing they could have kept quiet abou...

Re: Derby - Weather Watch/Match Thread

superb from Long to keep ball in play Was about to quote this - then saw who wrote it :o Anyway - I'll say it anyway... Shane Long is the complete forward but for one essential skill, the ability to put the ball in the back of the net. That is the sole difference between Long and Doyle, apart from ...

Re: Championship All Stars

Hang on a second, yes agreed regarding those strikers in the Premier League, but they are there to get the club promoted and should do so. Then it's up to the new owners to back the manager and get the players suitable to sustain that level of football. You can't surely expect any Championship club...
