Re: REFWATCH: Millwall v Reading

Had a good first half, but second half he was way too pernickety. Two players going for a header does not necessarily mean that one of them is going to be fouled Mr Phillips. I've decided I don't like him... Not sure what Kebe got a yellow card for when the Millwall fans threw something at him. Anyo...

Back from the game - Mill Wall

Back to Putney in record time 8) Great game for a nil nil. Would have been gutted to lose but we can probably just about lay a claim to deserving the draw. Federici and Mills saved us that precious point - but had Long's far post header or Karacans long range bullet not been saved at the very last m...

Re: Millwall vs ReadingFC (6/46) Match Thread

Millwall support poor, ref ok.

Kebe the dangerman but federici mom thus far.

Cummings looks petrified and needs to get down to the gym.

22 up front for MFC is atrocious.

Re: WC2010 - as seen on TV

What do Chris Coleman and Patrick Vieira bring to the coverage exactly?

Coleman is useless and Vieira says absolutely nothing of note. Terrible.

Re: Who should we sign?.

Clyne from bankrupt Palace for Right Back Bertrand from too-strong-for-him Chelsea for Left Back Beevers from relegated Sheffield Wednesday for Centre Back We usually make one big signing, and maybe it will be Bertrand, but the other two would hold their value as they are young and English and great...

Ian Royal Anton Rogers - the actor, was a prick.

:( One of the nicest people around. If when you met him and he was anything less than incredibly pleasant you were robbed.

Re: Player contracts

Keep Bozanic and Antonio as their wages will be low and both could be loaned out again, no point losing them for free as both are, in my opinion, good prospects... I expect Cisse will do a good job at another club where he can be loved but I think his chance has gone now at RFC. Bryn and Ivar have b...

Re: Back from the game - Blackpool

I have answered back to fans/officials many times playing sport and often played better for it.

Fair play to Macanuff and I wish more players did it

(I wasn't at the game so I shall leave those that were to it, sorry, couldn't resist!)

Re: MACSTATS

Why do we need statistics to 'back up' something which is so reliant on variables?! - What if Federici stayed on his line against Watford and Graham didn't score and Reading with renewed belief went on a winning run with Rodgers? - What if the referee hadn't given the 50/50 penalty decision for Long...

Re: Reading FC Finances

THIS IS NOT POLICY - IT IS ABOUT HOW THE TEAM HAS AND WILL BE AFFECTED BY FINANCES It's about how the club is run, not how the team plays. And spot on Arch, btw. ...which means it is about the way the club runs, not POLICY. Policy is about 'what music the club plays after goals', 'how much season t...

Re: Reading FC Finances

Yes, I get that, but what I don't get is how those two seasons were any different to any others?

If we made those losses in those 2 seasons, surely we made the same losses in every other season from 1998 onwards?

Re: Reading FC Finances

Thanks Arch, I guess that makes sense. I suppose what it really says is if Reading have to do all this to stay neutral in their finances then 95% of other clubs must be in serious, serious trouble. ...And I suppose they are. Most of the top half of the premiership are supported by benefactors (who c...

Re: Rodgers: The 'Truth'

the major failure was boards failure to sign Tommy Smith after playing silly buggers with Watford (again) And I am absolutely certain that BR played his part in this failure by speaking out about Smith's desire to join us, giving Watford even more determination to play hardball with RFC and their g...

Reading FC Finances

Ok, I searched for probably half an hour but couldn't find a suitable thread to add to so I will start a new one - Mods, do what you will... Reading, since their move to 'The Madejski Stadium', seemed to be the blueprint for a well run club; I remember stories of US stadium builders coming en mass t...

Right, this is the first of a couple of old threads I am going to dig up in the search for answers - the next will be our financial situation. Apologies to those who consider it old news but I have surprised myself at how fed up I am at the whole situation and would love someone to shed some light o...
